Indigo League: Gary vs Green

Ash, Green, and Gary were hanging out in the common room together with Brock, Misty, and Yellow with them, it was the next day meaning that the top 4 would start and they would need to fight each other.

Those were the matches that were scheduled, which from the look of how everyone was acting it didn't seem like they

Misty looked at the 3, "How are you 3 not panicking, or at least nervous, you're literally at the end and you're going to have to fight each other,"

"Why bother, it won't do any good to stress, it's not like it will change anything," Ash said, scrolling through his Rotom dex with Pikachu sleeping on his chest.

"I mean he has a point, why bother," Gary said just as laid back.

"Besides you should just be worried for Ash over there since I'm going to be the winner here," Green said smugly.

"Keep telling yourself that," Gary responded, "Remind me again who wins our battles more often,"

"Oh yeah, well you tell me who has more Losses to Ash then,"

"That's only because we fight more, I also have the most wins against him,"

"Why am I the unit of Measurement?" Ash asked

But he didn't get a response as the 2 continued bickering, then Yellow looked at him, "So Ash, do you think you can win?"

"I mean yeah probably, from the looks of the Remo guy he looks like he relies on Mega evolution and his Garchomp more than everything else, not saying it's going to be easy by any means though."

Brock nodded his head, "That is a good view, afterall no matter what he still is another one of the top 4 just like you 3."

"Sure Brock," Ash said stretching his arms back, "by the way you 2 shouldn't you get going your match starts in like 30 minutes,"

"Shoot you right," Gary said as he got up and ran out.

"Yeah I need to go beat Gary up, see you in the finals Ash," Green said as she followed behind.

Ash looked over at his friends who were still in the lounge, "So do you guys want to go to the stadium or do you wanna just watch it from here?"

Misty gave him a deadpan expression, "Seriously dude this is a new level of lazy, even for you"

"Welcome back everyone, you all know the drill by now so I won't keep you all waiting in suspense, this is the battle of the top 4, from now on all trainers will use a full team of 6 against each other!"

"This is a battle of the rookies as both of these trainers are from the same town and started at the same time! On this side we have Green of Pallet Town, and on the other stands Gary of Pallet Town."

On the red side, Green hopped on, and on the green side Gary stood across, the crowd seemed to get louder and louder each round so much that a certain boy in a red cap bought some earplugs.

"This is a six-on-six battle! No time limits, freedom to substitute Pokémon as you wish, and a full six-on-six clash to the finish! Both trainers may release their Pokemon!"

Both Gary and Green threw out their first Pokemon

"Go, Wigglytuff!"

"Scizor, let's do this!"

Over their training, Gary finally chose to get a metal coat and evolve Scyther into Scizor, as they both stomped onto the field and prepared to start.

"Begin!"

"Scizor let's start this with [Bullet Punch]!"

Scizor's figure suddenly flickered as he appeared next to Wigglytuff with his fists glowing silver, but just as he was about to start the barrage of punches suddenly Green spoke up.

"[Double Screens]"

Wigglytuff created a Reflect and Light Screen in front of her immediately right before the punches hit her and blocked most of the damage.

Then Green smiled as she pointed to the sky, "Now [Misty Terrain]!"

Wigglytuff then shot a pink ball out of her mouth and shot it into the air causing the area to become foggy with a pink mist.

Gary looked at the pink area and frowned, "[Brick Break] and get rid of those Screens!"

Scizor's fist glowed red as he sent a downward punch over Wigglytuff's head, the punch collided with the screens and through sending the punch directly into Wigglytuff's face.

The punch collided but didn't do much to Wigglytuff's squishy face as she pouted and looked angrily at Scizor, making Scizor blush as Cute Charm activated.

Green smiled, "Looks like Scizor's got a crush, let's give him a kiss,"

Wigglytuff walked up as she jumped and used a [Sweet Kiss] that caused Scizor's already red face to become even redder.

"Wh- Scizor snap out of it!" Gary yelled but it didn't do anything.

"Wigglytuff now [Flamethrower]!" Green comanded.

Wigglytuff's pink body puffed up in the chest as then she shot out a breath of flames aimed directly at Scizor, who was still confused that when he snapped out of his trance it was too late and he got hit.

Scizor was covered in flames from Wigglytuff as suddenly the illusion of his crush was hurting him almost as much as the x4 fire burning him.

Gary raised his arms, "Scizor snap out of it and [Roost] then [Bullet Punch]!"

Scizor lowered his wings as he then dashed forward and around Wigglytuff getting behind and sending a few dozen Technician-bosted punches at Wigglytuff sending her flying back over to the center.

Green looked at the screen and then got an idea, "Wigglytuff [Dazzling Gleam] into the ground!"

Wigglytuff puffed up again then shot multiple bright pink shars into the ground sending a dust cloud up.

Scizor and Gary couldn't see anything so he commanded, "[Vacuum Wave]!"

Scizor put his arms together and shot multiple shots of air into the cloud but each went right through hitting nothing but the ground.

Then Green called out, "Now [Fire Blast]!"

Wigglytuff appeared, not in the dust but behind Scizor as she sent a blast of fire directly to his back sending Scizor falling to one knee.

Gary clenched his teeth, "[Acrobatics] now!"

Scizor took a breath and extended his wings as he left an afterimage and sent a slash to Wigglytuff's side sending her back, after everything Wigglytuff was looking pretty bad.

Green could see that the Misty Terrain start to disperse so she chose to go out with a bang, "Wigglytuff let's show them what we got, [Misty Explosion]"

Gary flinched at that, he didn't expect this but he clenched his teeth, "Scizor brace yourself."

Wigglytuff's body started absorbing the mist as then when it all came to her body she smirked at Scizor and let it all out, the resulting explosion covered the field in a pink light.

Wigglytuff was out and Green immediately sent her back to her ball, but Scizor was still up but just barely, it looked like a strong wind could take him out.

Green smirked, "Now let's bring the real fun, Ditto come on out!"

From the ball, a ball of purple sludge came out that slowly started taking the form of Scizor.

Gary knew what was coming so he raised his arm, "Quick get as much damage as you can now, [Superpower]!"

Scizor took a breath before feeling his muscles expand and glow with a light that blew light as he ran forward and sent a powerful punch to Ditto's side just as it finished the transformation into Scizor.

Green raised her arm, "Now Ditto show them how it's done, [Acrobatics],"

Ditto extended its new wings as it dashed next to Scizor and sent him flying back after the attack and falling to his back with spirals in his eyes.

Gary returned Scizor as he could see Green smugly looking at him, so he brought out his next Pokemon, Arcanine who as soon as he came onto the field activated Intimidate, making Ditto go -1.

Green raised her arm "[Brick Break]!"

Ditto made his new claws glow red as it started running toward Arcanine.

"Arcanine use [Will-O-Wisp]," Gary commanded

As Ditto got close Arcanine sent out 3 small flames through the air that crashed into it, causing it to get burnt and cutting its attack, and the punch to deal weak damage.

"Now [Flame Wheel]" Gary smirked.

Arcanine got into a ball and started spinning and revving up

"Dodge with [Agility] then [Vacuum Wave]!"

Ditto manages to reappear behind Arcanine as he went past and shot 2 gusts of wind toward his back.

Even though Arcanine missed he didn't stop, and Gary didn't tell him to, "Arcanine bounce back with that rock then [Flare Blitz]!"

Arcanine crashed into a stone that caused him to switch momentum and go back to where he came with Ditto still shooting waves at him, but it didn't help as when Arcanine got close he unfurled and sent a flaming tackle into Ditto.

Ditto was knocked back and fell face first down, then its body began melting back into goo form, meaning it was out.

Green returned it and prepared herself, she had a plan and it all came down to this, she released Gengar who came out, but he also had something familiar.

Green looked at Gary, "Why don't we give them a taste of the show early?"

Gary's eyes widened "Wait you don't mean-" but before he could finish

Green pressed on her earring as it glowed with the Mega stone Gengar had, "Mega Evolve!"

Gengar transferred back into his mega form as he stomped his hands on the ground and laughed at Gary's surprised face.

Green also smiled, "Gengar use [Shadow Ball]!"

Gengar created 3 [Shadow Balls] in the air as he shot them towards the dog, the first missed but the next two hit directly, forcing Arcanine to take a few steps back.

Gary clenched his teeth and wondered what to do before shaking his head, "Arcanine [Iron Head],"

"[Thunderbolt]" Green added.

Arcanine started running at Gengar his head glowing silver as Gengar started sending the electricity at him trying to get him to stop, but he didn't and gave a headbut at Gengar sending him back.

As Arcanine looked up to prepare for the next attack he suddenly flinched as he was paralyzed from the electricity, and Gengar floated back up rubbing the spot he got hit, glaring at the dog.

Green saw that and smiled, "That makes things better, Gengar use [Hex]!"

Gengar's eyes glowed red as he created a dark purple orb with a red eye in the center, then he threw it as multiple rings started circling it, Gary told Arcanine to get out of the way but his legs froze up as he got enveloped in the dark energy.

Arcanine struggled to stay up for a moment but eventually succumbed and fell to the ground unconscious, so Gary had to return him.

So far this battle has been back and forth, the Mega was surprising but it didn't change the back-and-forth thing, but Gary did wonder why Gengar and not Venusaur but he shook that off.

He held another Pokeball, "So you want the main attraction now huh, well then let's go, Blastoise!"

Blastoise jumped out of his Pokeball, then Gary reached into his pocket and pulled the Blastoisinite, and threw it at Blastoise, "Let's do it, Meg-" but he was cut off.

"Now Gengar, [Poltergeist]!" Green yelled out.

Suddenly the Blastoisinite stopped in the air before Blastoise could grab it, then it flew at him and slapped Blastoise across the face before throwing itself off the stage, still inside the stadium enough to where Gary could go get it, but it was out of bounds.

As per League rules, neither the Pokemon nor the trainer could leave the area, otherwise they would get disqualified.

This was the essence of Green's plan to get Gary away from Mega evolving, and it was legal since you could use [Knock Off] to do the same thing, there was nothing wrong with what she did and now she had Mega and Gary didn't.

Green stuck her tongue out at Gary, "Ok Gar-bear, your move,"

I did it, the Indigo League arc is done, I finished writing it! Alright, I'm taking a small break from writing just to get the creative juices flowing, oh and uploads won't change for you guys.
