Blastoise Island

Sun guided the group through the town giving them a rundown on everything, with him they found a nice hotel that wasn't full already. He also gave them information on places of note like the lab and some restaurants, but unsurprisingly he didn't know where the gym was.

In exchange once everything was over Ash told him some of the stuff he saw when he was in Alola, it really wasn't anything special but Sun seemed to eat it all up.

Anyway, after all that they went their separate ways and decided to go to the Lab for Yellow and Brock, Misty just followed along since she didn't have anything better to do.

When they arrived at the large building, they all noticed many Pokemon being observed by scientists and running some experiments on them which were not harmful, the Pokemon actually looked quite happy.

As they were watching a scientist with brown hair and glasses quickly approached them, "I'm sorry but do you have any business here, this place isn't a tourist spot or a place to play, we have some very fragile equipment that we would like to keep in one piece."

Everyone turned towards Ash, making him wonder if he was the only one who paid attention, "Do any of you know about a scientist named Seymour?"

The scientist they were talking to looked surprised, "Oh, are you the group he told us about, do you have fossils you need revived?"

Ash nodded, "Yep my two friends here have 1 each they want to revive."

The scientist nodded and gestured to them to follow, "You know he said there were only 3 of you but then again he didn't seem to be there when I last talked to him."

"How is Seymour anyway?" Brock asked, walking closer.

He shrugged, "Fine I guess, I mean he is staying inside Mt. Moon, I talked to him recently but he seemed almost bored, I don't know."

Yellow looked sadly at the fossil she had, "Oh, well I hope he's doing alright."

"I do as well," he said as they arrived at a machine, "We are here, please take out your fossils if you have them and I shall start it."

The machine in question had a glass capsule situated over a flat platform connected by various wires leading down to different machinery.

Brock and Yellow pulled out their respective fossils and the scientist gestured inside the machine, they followed and put it inside, and as it closed it was filled with a strange blue liquid.

The scientist looked intently, "Normally we would be charged a price depending on whatever comes out, but since you are friends of Seymour then if you are willing, we can wave it off if you give us a few extra hours to do some research."

Brock and Yellow looked at each other for a moment, "How long would it take?"

"Well, your fossils should be ready in about 3 hours, so if you give us time we can return them to you by sundown, does that sound fair?"

Brock seemed to think that was reasonable, and Yellow didn't understand if that was good or bad so she just agreed with Brock.

When they finished the details they all went out and decided to find a place for lunch as they discussed what to do next.

"So what do you guys wanna do next, I mean I can't challenge the gym without knowing where it is so until then I'm out of ideas," Ash said as he took a bite of a sandwich with Pikachu doing the same.

"I mean I wouldn't mind visiting the hot springs," Brock said, slightly blushing and holding back a nosebleed.

Ash and Misty both looked at him, "Yeah I'm sure it's not cuz you want to peek at girls bathing right?" Misty said as Ash covered Yellow's ears.

"H-hey, no I just want to relax and do some….research, yeah!" Brock said

Ash rolled his eyes and let Yellow go, "Ok Jiraiya, anyway I guess I can take you to the island of Squirtles if you want." he said, catching Misty's immediate attention.

She grabbed Ash by the shoulders, "Can we go now, I've been waiting patiently for so long, and I want my water turtle!"

"Sure just don't shake me, I have enough brain trauma as is," Ash said, shrugging Misty off and looking at Brock and Yellow, "Do you guys wanna go with us?"

Brock covered his face with his hand, "Sorry but my research calls, and I should stay here to wait on the fossils."

"I don't know what that means but sure I can go with you guys," Yellow said as she was spoon-feeding Chuchu.

Ash nodded as they finished their lunch and he fed the coldblooded goblin living inside his sleeve, speaking of which Dratini is almost old enough to start training, the main reason it took so long is that Dragons mature slower.

Obviously, a Rattata and a Dratini mature at different rates, Dragon types are known as the ones that take the longest on average, and Dratini had been growing, where she originally could only wrap around Ash's arm, she is about 3 feet long now.

But since they were about to leave this new warm place and go back to the cold she begrudgingly allowed herself to enter her Pokeball again, being cold-blooded and all.

After everyone finished Brock separated from the rest of the group as he went to see if there were any unisex bathhouses, spoiler for people at home, there weren't.

Meanwhile, the 3 walked over to the nearby port where they could have rented a boat, but spoiler, none of them knew how to drive one. So Ash let out Pidgeot and Charizard.

He would have let Fearow out too, but 1 he doesn't have his saddle yet, and 2, he is much more likely to complain and throw someone off of him than Pidgeot, so no.

Ash let them on Charizard since he knew Misty would probably complain about the cold and Yellow didn't mind, meanwhile, he got on Pidgeot, making sure Abra remembered the spot so they could come back quickly.

Ash pulled up the map on his Dex and sent it to Yellow, "If you follow behind me we'll be fine, but just in case so you'll know what to do."

Misty rolled her eyes, "Don't jinx us, besides can't Abra just come and get us if we do."

Ash clapped his hands together, "Do you forget that she has to find you first, and moving at 30 miles per hour at the average height of a commercial flight doesn't make it easy, I'll tell you that."

Misty furrowed her brows and glared at Ash, making him look back at the sea, "And also I don't know where she is"

{Meanwhile}

Abra and Gastly were sitting in one of the spas, both of them had cucumbers on their eyes with face masks each holding a pina colada.

Gastly sighed in relaxation, "[You know you're a weird little freak, but sometimes you do have good ideas]"

"[It is only natural junior sister, to properly cultivate and break through your ascended iron soul stage we must remove the impurities in your body!]" Abra said proudly like that meant something

"[(￣～￣), well I did say sometimes]," Gastly said as she turned to her side to a third figure with them, "[How you feeling after all 'that']"

The figure was Psyduck who was relaxing as well with a facemask and coconut in his hand, ["After the week Psyduck has had, Psyduck needed this."] but unlike them, he was eating the cucumbers.

Abra leaned over "[Well junior brother that is no good, we need you to be at full strength, so we need to travel to the regenerative springs high on Mount Hua where the blossoms run free.]"

"[... your words hurt Psyduck's head, Psyduck just wants to relax.]" Psyduck said as his head started hurting, then all the furniture in the room started floating with Psyduck's Psychic powers

Gastly stayed in her chair as everything happened, "[I just want one normal vacation day, is that too much to ask?]"

Misty begrudgingly accepted the explanation as they all got on the flying types and flew into the cold sky, well cold compared to the warm Island they were on, making Pidgeot very much uncomfortable.

Despite all the buildup, the actual trip was pretty boring, nothing happened, no one got lost, and it only took like 30 minutes, 5 of those were just looking around to find the place. But that's when they saw it, a large island in the shape of a shell.

When they landed the first thing that happened was that Pidgeot demanded to go back to his ball, which he did along with Charizard.

The next was seeing tons of Squirtle and Wartortle walking around and carrying supplies for the upcoming colder months, because believe it or not turtles do not hibernate, so the water turtles were making other arrangements.

Ash looked around and saw some Wartortle walking into the forest so that's where he would go, he turned to the girls, "Ok we're here, go ahead and pick your favorite, or get a bunch I don't care this place isn't mine."

Misty looked like a kid in a candy store as she started looking around at all the water turtles with Stars in her eyes and she left Ash and Yellow alone.

Yellow looked at Ash as Chuchu was using Yellow's hair as a blanket, "So what should we do?"

Ash looked back at Misty, "Well I want to go deeper, if you don't mind could you make sure Misty doesn't do anything stupid, she's acting like an addict."

Yellow looked towards Misty, who just grabbed a Squirtle and lifted it, receiving a water gun to the face as a response, "Um, I guess I don't have a choice do I," she mumbled.

Ash took that as a yes as both he and Pikachu walked deeper into the forest to find what he wanted, on the way he let Wartortle out to see if it would help, he wasn't expecting much admittedly, but you never know.

As they walked through the forest they got some looks, well Ash and Pikachu got confused and some angry glares, and Wartortle got some admiration, mainly because of the glasses.

But after a bit of time, they got to what appeared to be the center of the island, when he saw it, Blastoise, not just one but a few, and on a podium, the largest and strongest Blastoise stood proudly.

Before they went in Ash did the same thing with Wartortle using the Keystone to search, when he did he saw that there were like 4 stones, but they were all inside a cave he didn't even see because it was behind the Blastoise king.

As he looked normally again he could see that comparatively the Blastoise king was weaker than the Venusaur king, but he still probably couldn't win a 1 on 1, especially with the 6 other Blastoise that seemed to make a council.

Ash sat down behind a tree to start thinking of a plan, despite how he may have acted back with the Venusaur he doesn't just want to go Willy-nilly, if he had Gastly with him she could just grab them and leave, but once again he doesn't know where she is.

*Achu* Gastly Sneezed as she was resting inside the spa getting a massage from Machoke who was having trouble with her gas body.

Abra and Psyduck were also at nearby tables getting massages, Psyduck looked at her, "[Psyduck didn't realize ghosts could get sick.]"

"[They can't, so its weird that I Sneezed.]" Gastly respond.

"[Then that must mean the impurities in your body are being released, we must continue, the steam room will purge our spirits next,]" Abra said as she teleported to the Sauna.

Gastly signed and got up, "[If she couldn't teleport I'd lock her in there]"

Anyway, Ash didn't have a good idea on how to continue, he was about to turn to Pikachu and Wartortle for advice, but in the place where Wartortle was standing his outline was left blinking, surprising Pikachu since he was just next to him.

Ash and Pikachu turned to each other then back at the Blastoise, and standing in the center with a proud pose, "[Hey king, you have something my Boss wants!]"

The Blastoise turned his head down looking at Wartortle, "[You dare… fall in line]"

His voice rang with authority, making the Squirtle and Wartortle bow their heads, and the Blastoise bowed in respect. But Wartortle remained on his feet with his hands crossed, his glasses reflecting the sun.

Wartortle sneered, "[What a shame you think I'm like the others.]"
