Vs. Erica Pt 2

Ash sent out Fearow again who was more than ready to keep going, and Vileplume was still slightly dizzy from the Petal Dance.

"Fearow let's start with Aerial Ace,"

Fearow flew into the air and started jetting past Vileplume multiple times as it couldn't get its balance, each time chipping at the flower without letting it recover, also getting one crit in there as well.

"Vileplume snap out of it, and Leaf Storm," Erika commanded, looking at her situation.

Vileplume shook his head as another strike from Fearow hit him in the back of his head, it almost fell over but caught itself and summoned a tornado from its center also managing to catch Fearow inside and deal damage to him before spitting him out.

"Now Synthesis and growth," Erika commanded, intending to take advantage of the situation.

Ash smiled as Fearow got back in the sky, "Now's our chance, Rain Dance,"

Fearow lets out a cry and shoots a black ball into the sky that exploded into clouds, those clouds started growing and eventually covered the lights from the gym and cut off the 'Sunny day', although it wasn't a permanent solution it did severely slow Vileplume down and weakened its moves.

"Now Roost and set up a Work Up."

Fearow landed on the ground again as he started shedding useless feathers off, along with giving his feathers a slight red glow as he flew back up.

Meanwhile, Vileplume was struggling to gather enough sunlight to even use Synthesis, and when it finally activated Vileplume only got a small amount back, leading Fearow to give a quick shot to the struggling flower.

Erika was starting to worry more, with the storm any sun-related move was effectively useless, spores were also out because of the water now pouring onto the field. But she took a deep breath to calm herself and look back to the field

"Vileplume use Sludge Wave and try to get in close."

Vileplume's flower lowered purple as it started shooting out a stream of dark black sludge meanwhile it started running trying to get closer to Fearow who was staring down at it.

"Quick attack to dodge then get behind Vileplume,"

Fearow's body formed an afterimage as he flew around the beam of sludge coming at him and he managed to slash Vileplume in the back.

"Vileplume now, Toxic."

Vileplume's flower glowed again and used some of the leftover sludge to turn around and throw a stream of purple poison aiming to get it onto Fearow.

But Ash smiled, "Why don't we save that for later."

Fearow was prepared with a Protect that was more in the shape of a rectangle, and when the toxic made contact it went into it and disappeared.

"Now let's end this fly up," 

Fearow flapped his wings hard causing a small vortex to form disorienting Vileplume as he got to the top of the field.

"Vileplume we can't go down yet, Moonblast full power."

Vileplume's flower started gathering a pinkish purple energy as an orb that resembled the moon appeared, and it was shot as a pink beam.

"Let's end this Steel wing,"

Fearow started diving as he put his wings in front of them and they turned silver, then he clashed with the beam, but with the steel typing, he split the Moon blast down the middle and landed behind Vileplume.

As the pink energy exploded Vileplume also fell over and Fearow wiped off the poison that was on his silver wings, a last-ditch effort by Vileplume.

Erika returned Vileplume and thanked her, meanwhile, Fearow was looking like he wasn't satisfied and Ash kept his smile as the rain was still covering the spotlights.

"So what's your choice, will you get rid of the toxic spikes, or are you not confident in it without the sun active? It's the old game of heads I win tails you lose."

Erika looked at her two remaining Pokeballs and took one and threw it out, revealing a large frog-dinosaur with a tree on her back. She also had what looked to be an apple around his neck that she seemed to be snacking on.

Ash took the first move, "Fearow, Drill Peck."

"Venusaur use Curse,"

Venusaur's body got covered in a purple glow as Fearow dived in with his beak spiraling, the attack connected but it seemed like Venusaur remained unmoved as she took a bite from her apple.

"Now Swords dance, and Power whip."

Swords appeared around Venusaur and spiraled around her as she pulled out one of her vines and tried to slam Fearow, which he dodged and flew back into the sky.

"Let's improvise, Dual Wingbeat,"

Erika slightly smiled seeing this, "Use Power whip again,"

Fearow flew back down with both his wings glowing, as he got to Venusaur he gave one slash that crit, and then the Power whip slapped him, but he still managed to deal the second slash before he was sent flying back from the strength of the attack.

Fearow got back to his feet, but almost immediately he slightly stumbled as he started breathing heavily, looking closer his cheeks were purple he was poisoned.

Erika smiled and covered her mouth, "Fufufu, you've noticed it haven't you, Venusaur's vines are covered in poison, and I'm afraid you can't stop it, sorry I'll give you something for it after the battle."

As she said that Venusaur held out her vines that were dripping a purple liquid, as she tried to deliver another slap to Fearow, who managed to dodge, although much less numbally.

"Well then I guess we need to change our strategy, U-turn"

Fearow shook his head and managed to gather his strength to fly forward, Venusaur pulled out 2 more vines and tried to hit Fearow again.

Fearow managed to dodge the first two but the 3rd was aiming right at him, but before it hit he used his talon that was glowing green to scratch Venusaur, then he disappeared back to his Pokeball.

Ash anticipated that he wouldn't be able to avoid poison forever but he didn't expect it like this, but he already had a new plan as he released Scyther who had a flying gem around his waist. And was ready to battle.

"Scyther let's do this Swift Blade Dance(Agility + Swords dance)"

Scyther summoned Swords around him as he performed a blade dance with them.

"Now Psycho Cut."

After the Swords disappeared Scyther's blades glowed purple as he ran towards the giant grass frog.

Erika and most people on the bleachers were impressed with the blade dance but that didn't stop Erika's concentration, "Venusaur use Leech Bullet (Bullet Seed + Leech Seed)."

Venusaur started shooting out seeds rapidly, Scyther looked at the incoming attack and smiled, he started to use his blades and his speed to slash at the seeds as they came at him, he had to react to them in a fraction of a second since dozens were coming at him.

Scyther the ore that came at him the faster he got, and Scyther never stopped moving even to slash at them eventually he got close enough and he jumped and spun in the air with his blades still glowing as he slashed at Venusaur in the neck.

Venusaur was pushed back as Scyther made distance. Venusaur got back up after taking that damage and went to take a bite from the apple around his neck, but it wasn't there.

Then everyone looked at Scyther and he had the apple on his blades and was taking a bite.

Ash gave a smile, "Oops, was that Important," then he snapped.

Scyther swallowed the bite he had in his mouth and threw it in the air and sashed it as it came down.

Venusaur looked frustrated, the only good thing was that the rain clouds finally dispersed giving the sun back and her ability Chlorophyll to activate, but she still wasn't faster than Scyther.

Erika was getting a bit worried but smiled at the light, "Venusaur Solar blade!"

Ash raised his eyebrow as Venusaur's vines came together creating a sword construct covered In light.

"Alright we need to end this now, Acrobatics."

Scyther's body began to move even faster as the gem on his waist shattered with him absorbing the energy.

Now Acrobatics is a very interesting move, it is stronger if the user has no item, and the flying gem boosts flying-type moves, on its own not that good, but there is a very particular interaction involving gems and this is where timing matters.

Items are used before the move, meaning that before Acrobatics cheeks for items Scyther already got the boost from the flying gem and the Acrobatics was boosted as well. Along with of course stab and the +2.

Scyther started running at Venusaur so fast that there were afterimage clones behind him, meanwhile, Venusaur was preparing to swing the giant sword down on Scyther.

As Scyther got close Venusaur's blade started going down as Scyther charged his blades.

Scyther's blade clashed with the giant sword, each of them struggling to push the other back enough to finish the other.

Venusaur had the advantage due to her height but Scyther managed to hold his own. Eventually, Scyther was able to push the giant sword back enough to slash into Venusaur's body.

The hit was so strong it cut the wind behind, Venusaur tried to take the few seconds it still had to slam the sword onto Scyther, but as soon as the blade got close the energy dispersed as Venusaur fell with spirals in her eye.

Scyther exhaled in satisfaction as Erika returned Venusaur and thanked it, and so Erika had one Pokemon left, she threw it out revealing a tall tree with exactly 4 faces, an Exeggutor, it also seemed to have a life orb.

Immediately as soon as it got to the field it got chipped with the rocks but felt more than ready with the sun boost.

"Exeggutor let's start, Growth,"

"Scyther, Fury Cutter,"

Scyther's blades glowed green as he started running forward as Exeggutor started to absorb the sun, Scyther got close enough and started slashing into the tree and managed to get 4 slashes in before Exeggutor attempted to land a kick.

"And swap out," Ash said, snapping.

As soon as he said that, Scyther went for one more slash as Exeggutor attempted a Stomp, but when he hit he also disappeared back to Ash.

Ash then let Fearow, who was still poisoned but still wanted to fight despite that and flew up.

Erika saw this as an opportunity seeing the weaken bird, "Psychic Terrain then Psychic."

Exeggutor shot a purple sphere into the air that exploded creating a room around the field, then Exeggutor's other head created a beam of shapes and colors and shot them at Fearow.

"Hey Fearow, Paste." 

Fearow brought out the square protect as it blocked the Psychic, but then he switched it and from it, it looked like a mirror with Vileplume on the other side, Vileplume was using Toxic and when it reached the screen the poison jumped out of the mirror and splashed onto Exeggutor.

As everyone was looking surprised seeing that Exeggutor was badly poisoned, Ash continued, "Now Facade"

Fearow who was still poisoned Ran forward and delivered a boosted Wing smack before taking more poison damage.

Exeggutor also took poison damage but was still more or less fine, "Exeggutor use Future Sight then Giga Drain."

One of Exeggutor's heads shot a blue orb into the sky as another two released a green rope that latched onto Fearow.

Fearow tried to remove them but they began to start draining him of energy, then when he almost broke free the ball of energy from before came down and exploded in his face, knocking him out as well.

Ash returned Fearow as smiled at his Pokeball, "It's about time to end this, Scyther go."

Scyther was sent back onto the field and brandished his blades.

Erika looked at her situation and saw that there was nearly no way she won but that didn't stop her, she put a smile on her face and got into a more casual stance than her stiff regular, "Let's give it all we can Calm Mind then Stored Power."

Exeggutor's head started meditating as the 3 separate heads started to charge up different spheres of energy, when the center head was done it started charging a 4th as the other 3 were launched aiming at Scyther.

"Scyther let's try something new, Skitter Smack."

Scyther spread out his wings as he took to the sky and dodged the first three balls as the fourth was still being charged by the last head, when he got loose the final head released the ball of energy but Scyther vanished with a sidestep.

Scyther reappeared behind Exeggutor and slashed it from the back, also lowering its Sp. Atk.

Exeggutor was still up but in bad shape especially after more poison chip, but still got back on its feet ready to keep going.

"Exeggutor one more Solar beam, let's make this our strongest yet."

"Dodge with Trailblaze then use X-Scissor."

Exeggutor's heads came together and fired a combined energy blast, meanwhile, Scyther's feet glowed green as he started gliding across the ground dodging the beam and getting closer, then once he got close enough he pulled out his wings again to fly up, and came down.

Scyther appeared on the other side of the tree with his blades in an X form, then Exeggutor fell over and the Psychic Terrain dispersed and went back to normal.

The girl who was acting as the referee checked Exeggutor and once confirming that it was over she raised her arm again, "Exeggutor is unable to battle, therefore the winner is the Challenger Ash and Scyther!"
