The ghost will not catch a cold.

YunQingYue urged me to practice, but I was thinking about something else in my heart.

"QingYue, wait a minute. Let's not rush to practice. Let's try the new ability of this spirit bud first. What do you think?" I discussed with YunQingYue.

"How do you want to try it?" YunQingYue asked curiously.

"Well, let me find a suitable place first," I said as I walked out of the house and found a secluded small forest.

Once inside the forest, I stood still and made hand gestures while saying to YunQingYue: "Tai Chi transforms into two elements; Yin and Yang are mutually generated and restrained. The chaotic energy of heaven and earth is not conducive for use when Yin and Yang are uncoordinated. The essence of human body vitality needs balance between Yin and Yang for better control, but there is insufficient hostility."

"You can spare us your nonsense! You haven't even read many classical Chinese texts yet you're trying so hard to sound like one!" Upon hearing my words, YunQingYue scornfully retorted.

Hearing this, I couldn't help but laugh before explaining: "My meaning is simple - although my vital energy is abundant due to balancing between Yin and Yang attributes, its attack power is inadequate because of that balance. However now that you have connected with my spirit bud through our breaths being linked together; your breath has an abundance of yang attribute which means if we coordinate our attacks by releasing Qi blades together then our Qi blades will carry solar properties thus enhancing their attack power."

"That only works against evil things though; it won't be useful against enemies who possess solar attributes themselves." Yunqingyue replied back.

Upon hearing her response, I couldn't help but smile wryly before replying: "Of course I understand what you mean; I haven't reached that level yet. So until I can balance Yin and Yang attributes myself, I have to rely on you and Xiaohutu. You are yang while she is yin; both of you help me transform my hands into black and white which will make me limitless in terms of Yin-Yang balance."

"Xiaohutu? Where is she?" YunQingYue hit a sore spot with her direct question.

My heart sank as I couldn't help but reply: "Everything I'm doing now is for Xiaohutu's early return."

"In that case, don't waste time talking so much. Our breaths are connected through the spirit bud, our thoughts are also connected so there's no need for you to say too much in the future. Whatever you want to do, I'll know." YunQingYue said.

"Okay, but I still want to talk with you because I cannot understand your thoughts," I replied back.

"That's because your mind isn't focused enough," She snorted before saying: "Shall we begin?"

"Let's start!" Without further ado, my eyes narrowed as my hand gestures became more intense while shouting out loud - the secret technique of Ling Tai was activated at full speed causing waves of blood energy within me; a majestic aura instantly released from the spirit bud then flowed into my meridians before surging towards my left arm.

"Heavenly Three Pure Ones! One Qi Yin Yang!" With a loud shout and hand gesture forward, a Qi blade immediately whistled out like a howling wind directly towards a large tree ahead.

Bang - snap - "

A loud noise echoed, and wood chips flew everywhere. The Qi blade hit the tree trunk accurately, causing smoke and dust to rise.

As the smoke cleared, a one-foot-long and three-inch-deep gash appeared on the tree trunk. The inside of the wound was charred black as if it had been burned by flames.

"Success!" I excitedly touched the gap in the tree trunk and said to YunQingYue.

"Unfortunately," just as I was getting excited, YunQingYue poured cold water on me. "My Yang Lie Qi is limited, and your method wastes too much energy. Therefore, we can only release a limited number of Qi blades."

"If you recover to your best state now, how many Qi blades can we release together?" I asked her.

"No more than ten," YunQingYue replied. "So when it comes to real combat situations, you should try to conserve your usage."

"After you've exhausted all your elemental energy, how long does it take for you to naturally recover?" I asked again.

"That depends on what method is used. If it's just me alone absorbing my own Yang Lie Qi then it will probably take a long time since this type of aura is not common." YunQingYue explained.

"What about using that golden elemental energy?" I asked again.

"One golden light would be enough for me to fully recover with an added boost," YunQingYue told me.

"Well then that settles it! You can keep all those golden lights for yourself. Originally I could have released them myself but that would have been too wasteful; now that they're absorbed by you though they become ten times stronger so really I'm making out like a bandit here! And besides...I don't need tons of ammunition like a machine gun." Proudly boasting my cleverness towards YunQingyue.

"It's rare for you to have such insight. Since that's what you want, I won't say anything more." YunQingYue said.

Hearing this, I couldn't help but smirk and quickly returned home. Climbing onto my bed, I sat cross-legged and continued practicing.

With a turn of my divine sense, I entered the Purple Mansion space where YunQingYue saw me appear and instinctively turned around to hide in the distance.

"QingYue, don't go! Come on let's practice together!" I hurriedly chased after her.

Get out of here, don't let me see you. I'm not interested in you right now!" she said angrily.

"When will you be interested?" I asked.

"Ghosts don't catch colds, so forget about it!" She continued to run forward, but her little hand was tightly held by me.

...

In the following days, YunQingYue and I were basically in this "happy and harmonious" state.

She absorbed another golden light, grew a little taller again, and became stronger. Meanwhile, I restored my vitality to its best state.

...

The next day was the first day of school.

Early in the morning with clear skies and fresh air, I rode my bike to school.

When I arrived at school, it was as lively as ever. My classmates were all dressed up for the new year with bright faces full of joy.

Before I could even sit down in my seat, people started crowding around me:

"Oh wow Liu YiHeng! You've gotten bigger! Did you eat some magical medicine during Chinese New Year?"

"Yeah man! Look at your face - rosy cheeks and peach blossoms everywhere! Did you have any romantic encounters?"

"What?! How come you're taller than me now? That's not fair..."

Finally managing to sit down on my seat after dispersing those annoying guys around me,I turned my attention towards Xu Qin who sat in front of me:

"Hey beautiful lady! How was your Chinese New Year? Are you happy? Oh wow...I noticed that you look even more gorgeous now...especially these two muscles here..." *cough cough* "...they seem more developed than before haha!"

"Liu YiHeng if you don't shut up right now then believe it or not but i'll rip off your mouth!" Xu Qin raised her eyebrows threateningly before turning around and hitting me on the head with her book.
