A Quick Transaction

After sending Li Ming and his group to their death, Bai Tian went to pick up their weapons, but when he saw how much inventory space it would occupy, he decided to just leave them on the ground, even throwing away the spear and wand he received from the couple before.

Not only were these weapons useless to him, they were cheap weapons that probably came from a Beginner's Gift Box, so they wouldn't be of any value even if he were to sell them.

Bai Tian returned to the Horned Blue Pigs' hunting ground shortly after and would spend the rest of his time as a Criminal grinding these pigs.

He would spam Qi Bullet until he ran out of Qi, then he would cultivate and repeat this process.

Unfortunately, his Qi Bullet did not rank up despite killing hundreds of Horned Blue Pigs.

During this time, he managed to increase his level to 12, gathered 1,230 Uncooked Bacon, and 210 Blue Pig Skin.

"I guess I really got lucky with the Green Slime Cores since this is pretty much on its drop rate– slightly above." Bai Tian mumbled to himself when he saw his inventory.

As for his Silver Sword, it only dropped to 71 durability.

Once Bai Tian saw this notification, he immediately went back to the city to complete his quest.

When Robin noticed Bai Tian walking into the building, he subconsciously smiled, as his initial thought was that Bai Tian had returned to ask about the Green Slime Cores.

"Are you having trouble finding the Green Slime Cores? Don't worry, I assure you that they can be found–"

"No, I found them just fine. I am here because I have collected 10 Green Slime Cores." Bai Tian interrupted him.

"What…?" Robin muttered in a dazed voice as he stared at Bai Tian with widened eyes.

He turned to look at the calendar behind him just to make sure he was certain about the date.

"One… two… three… It's only been four days, though! You actually managed to collect 10 Green Slime Cores in such a short amount of time?! Wait! You must have purchased them from the market, right? It must've cost a fortune–"

"No, I went to hunt Green Slimes for them." Bai Tian interrupted him again.

"Seriously…? Even if you hunted Green Slimes all day, this must be a record…" Robin said.

If he knew that Bai Tian only took a few hours to collect the Green Slime Cores, his mind would probably explode from shock judging by his current reaction.

"Give me a minute. I will get Master Vulcan right away." Robin said to him before entering the door in the back that led to a massive forging area, where Master Vulcan was instructing a dozen other blacksmiths.

"Master Vulcan, that gentleman from before has returned!"

Master Vulcan turned to look at Robin with a raised eyebrow, then he recalled his interaction with Bai Tian.

"Oh! That young man! It hasn't even been a week since he left, why has he returned this early? Is he having trouble finding the slime cores?" He chuckled.

"Actually… He's already collected all 10 cores…"

"What?! How is that possible? Did he buy them off the market?"

"No, he claims to have collected them by hand."

Master Vulcan nodded. It wouldn't have mattered to him even if Bai Tian purchased the Green Slime Cores since he never gave any specifications.

"Hey, young man. I heard that you have gathered 10 cores already."

Bai Tian nodded, and he proceeded to place all 10 Green Slime Cores on the table.

"Did you really gather this in just four days? You must have immense luck, or you are simply fated to receive a weapon from me…" Master Vulcan mumbled.

"Anyways, I have received the materials. Your weapon will be ready by tomorrow after noon."

"By the way, what's your name?" Master Vulcan suddenly asked.

"Black Heaven."

"What a fitting name for a weirdo like you." Master Vulcan laughed out loud.

Bai Tian left the building shortly after.

"I have a whole day to spare. What should I do to kill time?" He mumbled to himself.

"Oh, right. I have gathered so many materials these few days, I should probably sell them off for some money."

Bai Tian immediately pulled out the map in his memories and started looking at the shops in the city.

Once he decided on a store, he started making his way to that location.

About fifteen minutes later, Bai Tian entered a butcher shop.

The stench of fresh blood and meat penetrated his nose the moment he stepped inside the store.

"Hey! How can I help you today!?" A loud voice echoed from the back of the room.

Bai Tian approached the person behind the counter and said, "I would like to sell some Uncooked Bacon."

The muscular woman behind the counter immediately smiled, "Perfect! Although we are always willing to buy bacon, we currently have a bacon shortage, so I am really glad you came here today. The rate will be 50 copper coins per kilo. How much do you have? We'll buy everything you have!"

Bai Tian looked at his inventory. If each Uncooked Bacon was about half a kilo and he had 1,230 Uncooked Bacon, he would have around 615 kilos worth of bacon.

"About 615 kilos." Bai Tian gave his response a moment later.

"E-Excuse me? I think I misheard you. Can you say it again?"

"I have around six hundred and fifteen kilos worth of bacon," he repeated.

"..."

The Butcheress stared at Bai Tian with her eyes as wide as saucers, as this would make it her biggest purchase from an individual since she opened this butcher shop 30 years ago.

"L-Let's weigh it just to be sure… Please, follow me."

Bai Tian nodded and followed her to the back room, where a massive scale was located.

"Place all of your bacon on this scale right here."

"Alright."

Bai Tian opened up his inventory and tapped on the Uncooked Bacon before selecting the 'Drop' option.

<How many would you like to drop?>

"All of them."

Dong!

All of the Uncooked Bacon in his inventory would appear out of thin air and drop onto the scale.

The Butcheress swallowed nervously when she saw the actual weight.

"710 kilos…"

While this much bacon would definitely solve her shortage issue, and she won't have to worry about running out of bacon for a long time, this purchase will definitely put a dent in her finances.

Despite that, she agreed to buy all of them.

"The total is 3 Gold Coins and 55 Silver Coins. Here you go." The Butcheress handed him the money after they returned to the counter.

'So 100 Copper Coins is worth 1 Silver Coin, and 100 Silver Coins is worth 1 Gold Coin.' Bai Tian did some quick math in his head and came to this conclusion.

"Thank you for the transaction." Bai Tian left the butcher shop shortly after and began making his way to the leather store to sell the Blue Pig Skins next.
