Food pyramid

Cael raised his eyes at the Void.

"A smell?" He sniffed the air, trying to catch anything unusual.

His senses picked up on the many scents brought by the wind. Dust and smoke, blood and sweat—Cael has learned by now how to filter out the unimportant ones, but he still depended on his eyesight much more than on smelling.

He noticed that Ginevra's smell had changed—there was something lizard-like in it now. But that made sense—she looked slightly like a lizard now.

'When this will be over, I will make Dante fix you, I promise.'

Dante smelled of potions, chemicals, and sugar. The Void smelled of sand and dragon.

There was nothing otherworldly in any of the smells Cael sensed.

"Right. Humans don't interpret the world the same way dragons do. Even when perceiving things with your mind, you imagine them as something visual," the Void said. "The smell I meant is mana."

Cael's bit his lip.
