CHAPTER 29 - WHAT WAS THE KING UP TO AGAIN??

"Alright, you both don't have good stamina, so we'll work on that..."

He said and smiled devilishly.

Beside him were two sack bags, each sack contained several iron nails which made them very heavy. Arthur took one sack and fastened it around Lucian's waist causing him to stumble due to the sudden extra weight.

Lucian furrowed his brows. What the hell is that??

Arthur fastened the next one around Nate, causing him to stumble too and fall. Lucian's weight was intentionally made heavier than that of Nate because Arthur realized he had an abnormal strength while Nate's was normal. Despite that, Nate still fell to his knees.

"Arthur! What the hell is that???" Nate exclaimed.

He felt so heavy, he wasn't sure he'll be able to move an inch. Arthur was not expecting them to walk in this, was he??

"Ooh...well it's just a sack containing a few iron nails. You're going to be running in it..." Arthur replied sounding so normal.

"What!!"

Lucian and Nate both exclaimed at the same time...

Nate was finding it hard to move his leg... A few irons my a**.

"Alright... You're only acting this way because you're not used to it. Just try walking around in it...and it'll get lighter..." Arthur said nonchalantly.

Lucian and Nate did as told looking so grumpy...

After a few walks, they were both panting heavily. That was just walking, but they felt like dying. Could they run in these???

"Ohk boys, I'll go stand in the hill and blow the whistle after every five minutes. You will come to me where ever you hear that whistle with your little sack bags along." He said with a smile.

He looked like he was having fun. If Nate saw this, he would have cursed him to death.

Arthur run to the hill and blew his whistle...

Somewhere on the road, about four large carriages were moving. They were sturdy vehicles with four wheels and a high roof. Each was being pulled by two strong horses. Their hooves pounded against the dirt road as they moved forward. The first and last two carriages contained a troop of knights, sitting in rows on wooden benches. Each of them was stern-faced and alert with their swords by their sides.

In the second carriage, a handsome man in a more stunning knight uniform sat indifferently on one of the benches. His black hair was held in a pony, accentuating his strong jaws and manly look. From afar, he looked stunning but cold and emanated the aura of royalty. The condition in this particular carriage was better than the other three. The windows were a little bigger with purple curtains on the cover.

Andrew kept looking out of the window, with vigilance in his eyes. He wasn't sure what he will do if he truly found his sister. But what if he didn't? No, that could mean his sister was probably dead. He didn't want to think this way...

"Your Highness, I almost forgot... I have news for you..."

John spoke suddenly, bringing Andrew out of his thoughts.

"What is it? Have you gotten news about the man tailing us yesterday??" Andrew asked.

"Err... No. No news at all"

John responded. His head bowed and looking incompetent.

" What other news is more important than that?" Arthur asked as if anything else was ridiculous

" Your sister is getting married this week..." John stated. He had heard the king discuss Princess Nora's marriage with his advisers, when he was trying to find out who the man tailing them was.

"Which of them...? "

Andrew asked looking unconcerned. He had six sisters, one was missing, and two were already married. Leaving three galavanting in the castle.

"Princess Nora..."

"Nora??"

Andrew asked with creased brows, and John nodded in response. From what he remembered about this sister, she had never found any man good enough for her... Well, it was good she had finally found someone. He didn't care who the unlucky man was tho...

"Mhm..."

He said not bothering to ask who the man was.

John waited for that question, but Andrew looked uninterested.

" Your Highness, don't you want to know who the man is??" John asked.

"Am not the one marrying him, why would I want to know?"

Andrew responded flatly

"....."

John cleared his throat. Could the prince not look so unconcerned, that was his sister they were talking about...

He was going to say it anyway...

"She is marrying the man Anna was betrothed to..."

Hearing this, Andrews' eyes turned sharp. The King was giving her out to that man?? This was strange. What was his father up to again?? A few years ago, when the third princess wanted to marry that man because Anna had gone missing, their father forbade it. He stated that no one else was allowed to marry that man apart from Anna... Why was he suddenly allowing Nora to marry that man...

"Any more information??"

Andrew asked

" I learned it was the princess that requested it and your father gave in..."

John responded.

Andrew narrowed his eyes. That can't be true. Something else must have persuaded him to give in. Nora's words alone could not do that.

The King had never really cared about any of them. He did what he liked at the time he liked. It was unfortunate, he was on his way in search of Anna. He would have loved to look into this more... He could have contacted Andy, but he didn't want to put this egotistic brother of his in danger. As much as annoying as he is, he still cared about him. Also, there was no point persuading Nora otherwise, the woman was going to see you as her lifelong enemy. He would investigate it himself when he got back.

A few distances behind the last carriage, a man in ordinary clothing was riding a black horse. He rode the horse a bit slowly and had managed to hide his aura quite well. He looked like he didn't want to be noticed. Despite how slow his horse moved, he kept track of the four carriages in front of him. He had wanted the get closer to the second carriage, but the first prince is not to be trifled with. He would rather follow them closely this way.
