Seal

The Adamant Sol Dragon couple helped each other licked and cuddled the baby dragon. They endearingly looked at the baby dragon that was rolling from side to side. It was truly a gift from heaven for both of them.

Suddenly, the male dragon’s facial expression changed. Its mouth churned as the energy of anger erupted, sending its whole body shaking after seeing something on its child’s body. Leng San tried his best to hide the seal, but once the baby dragon rolled around, the seal was spotted by its father.

“That shitty brat!! What did he do to my child!!!”

The male dragon flapped its wings and flew out of the cave right away...

Leng San sprinted at full speed to escape from the third level of the valley. But due to the vastness of the valley, there wasn’t enough time for the boy to bring himself out of the territory.

“Freya!! Answer me!!”

“You’ve been silent for several days already. Please answer me!”

“Shit!! Where’d Freya gone? My energy isn’t enough to locate the dragon from afar.”

Leng San activated his Dragon’s Sense at all times. Even though it was more precise. But compared to Freya’s sense, its radius was at least a hundred folds smaller, at only one li.

Leng San was certain that the Adamant Sol Dragon saw the seal he made already. He couldn’t locate the dragon yet, but as a precaution, he pulled out a green core from the dimensional storage and wrote a rune to distort the dimension onto a cavity within the trunk of a tree and hid inside.

Leng San pulled out a vial containing the blood of the baby dragon, slit the back of his hand with qi, and poured the baby dragon’s blood onto the wound’s opening. He then placed his right hand on top of the wound and used the sealing technique which was the same technique he used on the baby dragon. Within ten breaths, the same seal on the baby dragon appeared on the back of his hand.

Boom!!

The Adamant Sol Dragon landed near Leng San’s hiding spot. With its powerful sensing ability, the dragon knew that Leng San’s trace strangely disappeared within this area!!

“Deceitful human, come out of your hiding place right now. What did you do to my child!!”

The energy wave of high-level yellow qi took over the area. All magical beasts nearby ran for their lives. Some of them even stepped on their friend’s head to escape from the area as rapidly as possible.

“If you do not come out by yourself, I will forcefully bring you out!!”

The Adamant Sol Dragon’s qi rose to its limit, suffocating the atmosphere. But Leng San wasn’t affected because of his runic area that created a separated dimension for him to hide in. However, inside the dimension, the boy could see with bare eyes that the surrounding atmosphere was being twisted. Streams of sweat covered the boy’s face.

The Adamant Sol Dragon held its head high and inhaled a giant gulp of air to fill its lungs.

“Solar Flare!!”

The scarlet flame gushed out from the dragon’s mouth, burning everything in the radius of two li. Huge trees were scorched and evaporated within a breath. Leng San let out a sigh of relief as his hiding spot was exactly behind the flame’s path.

However, the destruction didn’t end here!! As the flame gushed out from the dragon’s mouth with no sign of stopping, it slowly turned itself around to destroy more of the forest. The flame’s path steadily moved towards Leng San’s hiding spot.

The radius of the flame was only ten meters away from Leng San. The boy couldn’t wait anymore. If the giant tree he was hiding inside had been burnt, the effect of the rune would disappear as well. He swiftly came out of the cavity. The Adamant Sol Dragon noticed the presence of the boy immediately. With one flap of its wings, the dragon appeared in front of him. Its glare was piercing Leng San, making him shook with insurmountable pressure.

Leng San didn’t say anything, but flicked the back of his hand and showed it to the Adamant Sol Dragon. Startled, the dragon recognized it was the very same seal it found on its child’s body.

“What is that seal!! Why did you put a seal on my child’s body!!”

Leng San let out a sigh as the dragon chose to ask him first without killing him instantly. Or else this would be the end of his life. The boy cupped his hands.

“I must apologize to my lord. I had no choice but to put a seal on your child’s body to guarantee that you will let me go.”

“Hmph!! I do not lie like the humans. I do not swallow my own words.”

“Even so, I needed a guarantee, if something unexpected occurred, such as this particular situation that I am in. With this Blood Bond Seal, if I die, your child will die as well.”

“What!!”

The Adamant Sol Dragon’s killing intent and energy flooded the atmosphere as Leng San told that the life and death of its child would depend on the boy!!

“Well then, cut the bond right now!! I promise I will overlook this incidence and will not harm you in any way.”

Leng San shook his head and said...

“My lord, cutting the bond is easy. As long as both parties renounce each other spiritually, the bond will then be destroyed at once, but…”

“But what!?”

“Your child is still an infant. Forming the bond is very easy, but in order to cut the bond, your child must develop his cognitive skills first.”

“Bullshit!! If that’s the case, releasing you to the outside world is too dangerous. It would be a miracle if a cunning human like you could survive for over one year without being killed!! I will confine you until my child is old enough to cut this disgusting bond.”

“I must re-establish my clan, if you were to confine me within the cave which we don’t know for how long, I would certainly commit suicide as I couldn’t face the people of my clan.”

Leng San said as he fisted his chest to demonstrate his determination.

“You!!” The Adamant Sol Dragon wasn’t able to say a thing. Its face turned grim, which made Leng San smile fiendishly.

“There’s another way to increase the probability of me being alive until your child is mature enough.”

“Tell me,” the Adamant Sol Dragon grim face turned brighter with hope.

“You must make a pact with me to become my beast. If I am in trouble, I can easily summon you to help me.”

“Crap!! You’re telling me that you want me, a thousand-year-old dragon, to become your beast and serve you!?”

The dragon’s killing intent surged once more. It was a member of the proud dragon species, feared by all sorts of magical beasts. It would be such a disgrace if it were to become a servant beast of a lowly human.

“My lord, it isn’t that bad of a deal. The pact meant we could contact each other at all times. Whether you’re going to come to help or not, entirely depends on your decision. Wouldn’t it be great for the both of us? If your wife or your child becomes ill, you can call me to come and help. It’s practically a win-win situation if you look at it that way.”

The Adamant Sol Dragon was a little hesitant at first, as it was considering the deal. Leng San instantly pushed the dragon to accept his proposal.

“I believe you do not have a choice. Please do not worry, I promise that if I’m not in grave danger, I will not contact you.”

After finishing his sentence, the boy pulled up his shirt and made a slit on his left chest to draw out his blood.

“If you’ve made your decision, please slit yourself on the neck, as I am not powerful enough to make a wound on your body yet.”

Leng San’s assertiveness hypnotized the Adamant Sol Dragon to follow his direction. It used its sharp and mighty claw to create a shallow cut on its neck to draw out some blood.

Leng San hopped onto the back of the Adamant Sol Dragon and took its blood to drop on the wound on his left chest. He then placed his right hand on top, used the sealing technique, dropped his blood onto the wound on the Adamant Sol Dragon’s neck, and placed his right hand on the wound. Soon after, a seal appeared on Leng San’s left chest and the Adamant Sol Dragon’s neck.

It was the exact same seal that was on the little dragon’s body!! Leng San swiftly closed the opening of the wound and pulled down his shirt immediately to prevent the Adamant Sol Dragon from seeing the seal. The boy purposely chose to put the seal on the dragon’s neck because it would be hard for it to see.

“It’s done now. Please be assured that I will not put myself in danger unnecessarily in order to protect your child’s life.”

Leng San cupped his hands and bowed.

“Remember that if you needlessly call me, I will cut your arms and legs to preserve your life and confine you within my cave!!”

Soon after, the Adamant Sol Dragon flapped its wings and flew back to its cave. Leng San laid his eyes on the dragon until it disappeared into the distance and smirked.

‘My plan was a success!! This is going to be one of my best trump cards. Hahaha.’

“Cunning kid, the seal you put on the dragon was the very same one that was on the baby dragon’s body,” Freya’s voice perked up.

“Freya!! Where’d you disappeared to, for a few days!?”

“I’ve been resting, but I’m all better now. But what you did was praiseworthy, tricking a thousand-year-old dragon into making a pact with you.”

“I do feel a bit guilty for using the bond between dad and son as a tool,” Leng San scratched his head.

“Anyway, what kind of effect does the seal have??”

“The same as what I told the Adamant Sol Dragon. Mainly, it’s used as a tool to communicate and tell each other’s location with the mind.”

“So, the baby dragon was…”

“Yes, it was the same seal. A technique to link each other’s life doesn’t exist. I just lied to the dragon to trick it into making a pact with me.”

“Hmph!! You’re…” Freya couldn’t find the words to describe the boy.
