Things Happen: One Way Or Another

It was already lunch yet Miya was still asleep and showed no signs of waking up.

"I am getting hungry since I didn't even have breakfast," Samiel muttered as he rubbed his empty stomach. "Should I go to the cafeteria and bring something to eat? Yeah, this's a good idea, I will also bring some for her, in case she wakes up."

Thus, Samiel stood up and left the room.

A few minutes passed.

Suddenly, Miya's eyelids started twitching, and her eyes fluttered open.

"Hmm?" The unfamiliar surroundings caused her momentary confusion. The sterile scent of the hospital, the white walls, and the soft hum of the wind created an atmosphere vastly different from the perilous forest she remembered.

"Wh-where am I?" Miya mumbled to herself, her voice barely audible. As she sat up on the hospital bed, her gaze swept across the room, taking in the details. The realization that she was in an unfamiliar place started to dawn on her.
