Hade could remember telling his cousin to set up a mind link with him just before they left the First Imperial School.

It was the preparatory measure they had taken in case something were to happen to either of them and they just so happened to be separated from each other.

'The pain in my head just now… Something is terribly wrong,' Hade quickly deduced, a chilling cold already rippling outwards from his position.

Now that they were bonded, Luctudeus could perceive all of Hade's emotions as if they were his own and even he could not help but be taken aback by the overwhelming and shocking killing intent emanating from the boy.

'Up till now, he has been calm and composed in all of our interactions, even during our battle.

'Whomever this Iolana is, he must care for her deeply,' Luctudeus reasoned.

"I do," Hade affirmed, having already accustomed himself to their new situation.
