Hade closed his eyes, taking deep breaths to steady himself. The tension in the air was almost palpable as he squared off with Luctudeus.
The mountain lord appeared relaxed, nonchalant even, however, Hade did not let that fool him.
He was aware of just how formidable Luctudeus was. That first spear nearly decapitated him and Hade doubted whether the magic beast had even thrown his back into it.
That said, Hade also refused to allow the fear of the unknown to consume him. With his abilities, he was at least 60 percent confident that he could survive the intense onslaught that awaited him.
Opening his eyes, Hade immediately activated the Eye of Omniscience. No doubt, the ocular ability would grant him the power to anticipate Luctudeus' attacks, giving him a fraction of a second advantage.
