80.1 Short Rest

As Ruby dragged me back inside, the maws of shame and uselessness began creeping into my subconscious again. With the brief reprieve letting my body flush the adrenaline out of my system, the countless cuts I sustained also started hurting like crazy; which didn't really help when added to my own sorrowful idiocy.

 

"Rouge?! W-what the hell-"

 

"I'll be fine..." I croaked out to Anna who was already tending to Grigori's wounds, it would seem. "Patch me up later..."

 

Looking around, I could see that everybody inside was practically gawking at my injuries. I was covered in my own blood, after all. And who wouldn't be shocked when someone walked into your space and dripped their own fluids into your carpet?

 

"Rouge, you should rest," Grigori leveled at me, his own bandages clearly absorbing some of his blood.

 

"Ehh," I weakly rolled my eyes. "I can manage..."
