"It's only proper, Anna," I explained. "I don't want our margins to be affected by our own spending."
"But still, it wouldn't be much of a difference if you just took it anyway," Anna counter-offered, crossing her arms as she leaned on her seat. "Just take it, Rouge."
"I insist," I stressed out, sighing before I hefted the pot filled with meat and vegetables by its handles. "Besides, it's not like you can stop me from walking away right now."
"What? Rouge, wait!"
Cackling like a madman, I left Anna behind in favor of making my way back to Jen. I was pretty sure that I'll regret what I did later that night, but it was fun to mess with her every once in a while.
