31.3 Final Solution

I was... not expecting that at all. Funny enough, I expected something more outlandish like being the chosen one or God just giving me another chance and that this phoenix was his representative. I didn't think that I was going to be some kind of freak hybrid that somehow got lucky and inherited from both sides of the family.

"Huh..."

"Really? Not even so much as a reaction, Master?"

"What else was I supposed to say then?" I shrugged. "It's kind of more believable than anything I came up with."

Seriously, this was far easier to swallow than any sort of bullshvt that could explain me having a mind palace and a literal phoenix living in my head. The fact that the fire all around me was also a dead giveaway, now that I thought about it. I could only assume that was going to be my element. Heh, at least I get to swing around cool fire now.
