I hid my cringe with a curt nod. "Of course. But plans don't always survive first contact with the enemy."
"First contact?"
For fvck's sake, Lise... "Plans only work if it's followed to the letter, Lise," I started, watching as our forces below started reorganizing based on their respective unit leader's wishes. "The enemy might not follow what you predicted, thus making your plans utterly useless."
"But you planned for everything, right?" Oh god... "You can think of a way to get us out in a split second, after all."
What the fvck? How did she come to that conclusion? "Lise, sister..." I looked my charge right into her eyes. "I don't-"
*THUD!*
What the hell?
A loud and thunderous slam echoed right through our bodies as the gigantic wooden doors shuddered at the force put behind it. Thankfully, some of the Nenners managed to put up a rudimentary barricade on the thing. It would buy us more time to reorganize as we prepared to fire at them with a surprise salvo to the face.
