Chapter 23 Getting Killed by a Mob or an Expert

Liang Chen suddenly thought of an idea. He didn't know who was badmouthing Xiu Ying but this will help him with his current situation. Since Yu Yan's opinion of him was already bad, then he will act like a bad guy. This will also shift the disgrace from Xiu Ying to him. He looked at Yu Yan and immediately sneered. Yu Yan saw this and she anxiously had a bad premonition.

Liang Chen made an obnoxious face and pointed at Yu Yan. "You have no right to tell me what to do! Are you my sister? I didn't know I had a sister as sexy as you!" He leered at Yu Yan from foot to face taking his time with each part of her body.

Yu Yan and the others behind her were shocked. Until now, no one has ever disrespected her like this. She have heard from Xiu Ying about Liang Chen and she didn't expect something like this. She was now convinced that this was Liang Chen's true nature. She gritted her teeth and started criticizing him. The others behind her also joined in the fray.

"Girls! Girls! There is no need to fight over this big me. Come here and I, your daddy, will let you serve me." Liang Chen said posing to come towards him.

Yu Yan and the girls were enraged to the point that all of them have distorted faces that could kill someone just by looking. They all charged at Liang Chen. Shi Long, Wang Jun, and Chen Wei, immediately stepped away to avoid these girls' assaults. When Liang Chen saw this, he immediately ran away.

"HOHOHO! Come to me, pretty ladies! This daddy will let you experience paradise." Liang Chen said while running and looking at the girls with teasing faces.

"SHUT YOUR MOUTH! I'LL KILL YOU!" Yu Yan retorts back.

The 3 were left there dumbfounded. In the few days, they were with Liang Chen, they have so many chances of knowing him. They would have never imagined him doing this and could not believe what they just saw. Shi Long and the others asked the other disciples passing by to know what happened. The 3 knew about Xiu Ying being the number 1 outer sect beauty right now and Liang Chen talked about her a little. After a while, they figured out that someone is spreading rumors about him and Xiu Ying. Shi Long and Chen Wei couldn't think of anything but Wang Jun timidly explained what he thought. He said to the 2 that Liang Chen was maybe trying to take the heat from the rumors to himself. When Wang Jun said that, they also thought about it as well.

Liang Chen made it look like he was running for his life but with his strength at the Qi Refining realm level 2, he can outrun the girls chasing him who were only in the Mortal realm. Now he has some choices, either run back to the east outer sect peak and hide in his house and the girls may barge inside, or outrun them but the Foundation Establishment strength expert hunting him may attack immediately, or hide from both the expert and the chasing girls then return back to the east outer sect peak. Thinking about the pros and cons of each choice, he chose the riskiest which is to lose the girls and the expert and then return back to the peak unnoticed. Once Liang Chen passed a corner, he immediately engaged the Shadow Veil Stealth technique to the maximum, completely hiding his aura then threw 3 formation flags behind a tree, went inside, and engaged the concealment array formation. He stood there silently, reduced his breathing to a minimum, and tried to relax his heartbeat. The girls went past him and they are frantically looking everywhere. He noticed a vague shadow just above him and Liang Chen's heart rate went up a little. He forcefully relaxed his body. He kept chanting in his mind to become one with nature. With his current strength, he might die with just 1 blow from this Foundation Establishment expert. The girls went away in different directions but the expert was still above him. Liang Chen noticed that his sweat was about to drop from his chin. He prayed to God, to Buddha, and even to the Egyptian god of the underworld Osiris, to not let this person notice him. When his sweat was about to accumulate and fall, the vague shadow went away. Liang Chen finally felt he was released from the grasp of the death god. Looking up the sun, he estimated it was about 4 pm and decided to wait till nightfall.

Some time went by and night has fallen. Liang Chen thought that the expert may have given up or that person could be waiting for him before the entrance to the peak. He sneakily went closer to the open entrance and with each step used spirit sense. So far, so good as he didn't sense anything. However, here is the tricky part. After the open entrance, were the stone stairs going to the peak, then the door. Beyond that is the main yard going to either the training hall, female yard, male yard, etc. Both locations have little to no hiding spots and he will be spotted immediately. Should he run for it? No, even if he did, if that expert was waiting for him then he will be finished before he can call for help. He deduced that the expert may be hiding somewhere in the trees going up. It would be almost impossible to hide inside the peak since Master Wu was there hence he is sure that if that stalker is truly waiting for him then this place would be the best one to strike. The Universal Guide agreed as well. Liang Chen cannot think of anything so he chose to accept the suggestion of the Universal Guide, which is to slowly ascend the stairs and be alert at all costs. Liang Chen took a breath and prepared himself. His right hand went close to the storage ring on his left and posed like a samurai ready to draw his sword anytime. He expanded his spirit sense and slowly went up step by step. At halfway through, he sensed a movement on his left someone lunged at him. Thanks to one of the Universal Guide's abilities that gives him the experience of thought processes being sped up significantly, called Thought Acceleration, this gives him 10x the speed of computing power. He was able to make out the shape of the person and the position of the attack. Liang Chen immediately released his flying sword and used the Rising Sun Sword technique, 1st move, Graceful Reflect. He blocked the sword that was gunning for his neck. A large sound of metal clashing was heard.

The person who attacked him was surprised. "You could block my strike?!"

Liang Chen could not finish his Graceful Reflect. The strength of this person won't let his counterattack continue. He was pushed down the stairs rolling till he hit the bottom. The difference in strength was too huge. Liang Chen felt fear more than his fight with the 3 eyed bear and cobalt apes. With just one strike, his right arm was numbed and hurting. He could only barely lift his flying sword and tried to get up. The person who ambushed him felt relieved when he saw Liang Chen roll down the stairs. He thought that he was fighting someone with the same level but now he thought that this boy was just lucky to block his strike.

Inside the east outer sect peak supervisor's room, Master Wu is currently meditating. Suddenly his eyes opened and whispered Liang Chen's name. He immediately opened a window and jumped off flying towards the entrance.

"You sure are lucky. I don't know how earlier you were able to hide from me. But that doesn't matter. You will die here." The man said then dived towards Liang Chen.

Liang Chen jumped backward then threw 6 formation flags in a hexagon. When the expert was close enough and about to enter the array formation, he immediately made hand signs with his left hand. The expert saw this midair however he could not change his trajectory. He entered the array and immediately felt a heavy feeling and his speed only slowed a bit. Liang Chen deployed a combined array formation of attack, trap, and gravity formations. Tens of wind blades attacked the expert from all directions but only dealt scratches. The expert was surprised that Liang Chen knows array formations and activated them almost in an instant. However, when the attacks hit him, he felt only little scratches. The expert became angry that a Mortal realm ant-like Liang Chen had escaped 2 attacks from him. He was already at the Foundation Establishment realm and he could not kill him with a single strike. The disgrace he felt was abysmal.

"YOU ANT! YOU THINK THESE TOYS WILL TRAP ME?!" The expert released his aura and destroyed the array formation then charged toward Liang Chen wanting his sword to pierce his chest.

Liang Chen commanded his flying sword to intercept then jumped sideways. The expert saw this and was surprised again. Liang Chen has a flying sword! How could a Mortal realm cultivator control the flying sword? He was already a Foundation Establishment cultivator but he has no money to buy his own flying sword. The Liu family could not even give him one. The expert waved his sword to block Liang Chen's flying sword strike. The flying sword was blocked and flew away easily. He stretched his leg and kicked Liang Chen's chest. Liang Chen flew and crashed into a small tree. The Liang Chen's ribs were all broken and coughed twice with a mouthful of blood. He couldn't stand up and the pain was too much that he has tears in his eyes. Good thing that he has a body refining technique or he would have died then and there.

"You are still alive?! You tenacious worm... Don't worry, I will make it quick" The expert slowly walked towards Liang Chen.

Liang Chen almost gave up in despair but he suddenly heard another voice. "It is I, who will make it quick."
