Chapter 8_ The Assault

She raises the stick to hit me but stopped when we heard a voice from behind. "Stop!"

I raised my head to see who it was, It was Skylar. Alice quickly stepped backward.

"Let her go!" He roared.

"Skylar it ...."

"I said let her go this minute!!" He roared again.

"Leave her." Alice ordered.

"Who the hell are you to order Alice around?" Eleanor asked.

"I said let her go." Alice repeated. She throws the stick in her hand away and they release me. I fell down to the ground.

"Keisha!" Skylar called running to me. "What did you do to her you heartless demons? How could you girl be this heartless, are you even humans? Keisha, are you alright?"

I didn't say anything because I could even open my mouth. He lifts me up and carried me to the school clinic.

Seeing Skylar carrying me makes Alice even more torturing inside her. She left her friends angrily and Eve run after her.

"Wait!" Eve called on Alice as she run after her. Before she got to her, Alice driver came. She entered and the car zoom off.

Elearnor then came to her. She remained in mute as she waited for her driver standing beside Eve.

Soon enough, her driver came. She entered leaving Eve behind. The car made to leave but stopped and the door opened.

"Aren't you going home?" Eleanor asked bumping her head out from the car.

"Huh, I-I my driver, yeah, My driver isn't here yet." Eve starmered.

"It late already, Do you mind I drop you off?"

"I'll wait. I'm sure he is on his way here already."

"C'mon. Not coming till now mean something might have kept them. Come in let me drop you."

"Sure" She said and amble in.

"What happen to her?" Doctor Meggie asked curiously seeing My State as Skylar hurry into the clinic with me in his arms.

"She got into an accident." Skylar said placing me on the bed.

"This doesn't look like an accident. Tell me what really happen to her? Was she assaulted by someone?"

"Yes, she was. Please just proceed with the treatment and keep it a secret at least for now."

Doctor Meggie sighs. "Go outside."

Skylar left and doctor Meggie proceed with the treatment.

I weak up minutes later. I found grip being fixed on me. I became tasty for blood. I have lost so many bloods earlier and staying here a minute more without blood could lead to my death. Not even the grip neither any doctor can save me without giving me what I desire most at now.

I was losing it fast and damn hungry for human blood. I begin thinking fast of what to do. Yeah, the doctor, It just me and the doctor here. Standing beside me, I could see the blood in her, fresh and tasty. Feeding on her blood can be easy but I can't do that. Skylar know I'm here. If the doctor is found dead, I'll be caught. I can't commit a nuisance yet. It only better if I leave the clinic.

I began thinking of how to get out from here. Then the doctor left to the inner room to get something. She seems not to noticed I was awake all this while seems I didn't let her know either. I then saw the window wide open.

I quickly removed the grip from my hand and leaped out from the bed and jump down from the window. Luckily for me, the clinic was only on the second floor of the building. So I landed safely on the ground unseen. I successfully escaped home.

Doctor Meggie came back later and was shock when he saw the bed empty. She looks for me everywhere to no avail. She saw the window open and went to the window. She then saw blood stain on the window. she look down from the window but found me not. She try to believe I didn't jump down from the window. She brought out her phone and call Skylar." She is gone."

"What Wait what? What do you mean she is gone?" How can you let her leave in that state?

"I didn't let her leave. I want to get some medications before I came back she was not here anymore."

"How could this be? She can't even walk in her state. Do you think somebody came to take her away?"

"That I don't know actually. How about you call her first."

"Okay doc."

"Once you heard from her please give me a call."

"Sure doc."

When, I got home, i was gaping for air already. I was already closed to my death.

I quickly went for blood in my fridge. Luckily, I was having one remaining. Without hesitating, I drank it at once I could feel my body again. I took a long relaxing breath and fell to the couch.
