‘What… me?’

A familiar setting. A familiar place. And a familiar set of items on the table.

Deep fried kebabs, fresh salad, and mashed potato-like substance.

The main dish was a large roasted animal of sorts. Was it a deer or was it a boar- Maria couldn’t tell. Very much like the first time she dined here.

And just like before, the final dish, the desert came out; a pink jell-o.

Unlike last time though, the queen wasn’t here. But Maria had the heroes, the vampire and the devil here.

“You should start talking,” Maria said, taking some kebabs and salad and even a bit of the potato like substance. She also tried peering at the roasted animal but gave up halfway.

There were some soldiers also dining with them but in the distance, certainly not here, not on the royal table.

“I don’t know where to start,” the prince sighed, not being able to decide where he should carve into the animal.

“Why not the beginning?” Shreya said. “Why or rather how did you free her?”
