Chapter 83

"Father, what are we going to do?" Isla asked.

Gaius glanced at her.

  "What do you mean?"

"Harry killed Adam. Your knight. And now he is holding Mikel hostage. We have to do something. We have to get Mikel out of there," she exclaimed, throwing her hands in the air. 

She could feel Kelly's eyes boring into the back of her head, but she ignored him. 

All of her focus was on her endangered friend.

"You are suggesting that I break into his castle? After what just happened when all we did was enter his kingdom?"

Anger boiled up in Isla.

  "You are suggesting we just leave Mikel there to die?"

"I know you care for him Isla-"

"He is my best friend," she snapped. 

Kelly snarled behind her once again but she turned and bared her teeth at him with a growl of her own.

  It appalled her wolf that she would address Kelly in such a way, but Isla could only think of the awful things harry could do to Mikel.
