Hello

For many, meeting the parents can be a time of great stress and anxiety, and stress and anxiety are great ways for one to test the mettle of their significant other.

Vlad would be certain to pass any tests of mettle that the family of Addams could throw at him. After all, he is Vlad the Impaler. There is nothing that he fears and none that could challenge, so how daunting could a visit from ones parents truly be?

As Vlad sat on his throne in his dorm room, he began to formulate plans and scenarios that he could enact and responses he could make when it came time to confront those who brought his paramour into the world. That alone made them worthy of respect. The fact that they raised her well made them worthy of not being compelled to simply accept him as their most cherished son-in-law. The fact that they would one day be family made them worthy of getting the toretto treatment, which as is commonly known throughout the omniverse, means they are untouchable.

He would need to tread carefully.

Analyze Morticia, Gomez, and Pugsley to determine their strengths and weaknesses, and once he knew all of those...he would just be himself. After all, there is no one better than him.

With that refreshing thought coming to an end, Vlad ended his planning and scheming phase with incredibly successful results, and rose from his throne chair.

His eyes traveled upward, looking past the ceiling and into the sky, and with a slight bend at the knees, he shot off the ground, went through the ceiling, attic, and roof, to find himself hovering in the sky above the academy.

He focused his vision, scanning up the only road that lead into the academy, and kept going, his sight extending miles and miles, until...he saw the car. Based on the speed of travel, they would arrive in a little under thirty minutes. That gave him time. Plenty of time.

Vlad: {Have your loyal ones found anything?}

Katherine: {You were correct in your belief that a family as old as the Addams would know of you, Sire. They do not know your appearance, nor any concrete details, just as all the others who were not there. However, they do have documentation of stories. Stories involving those referred to as the old gods and the most destructive of them all, The Impaler. Based on what our people discovered in their records, that is the only title they would know.}

Vlad: {I see. You can instruct them to clear out and forget they were ever there. I'll handle the rest.}

Katherine: {As you wish.}

Vlad paused for a moment, contemplating the ramifications of what he just heard through the mental connection to his loyal one.

'Is the Princess Bride a thing in this world?' He thought to himself. After all, it was one of his favorite movies in his past life and fuck all if he did not openly proclaim it to the world.

He realized this world may run deeper than he thought in terms of culture. Only research would tell.

Vlad looked at the sleek Hearst as it made its way down the road.

"First impression are everything."

His wings extended out of his back, his silky smooth clothes seemingly posing no obstacle to the majestic appendages that would put even the most proud of dragons to shame.

With a slight incline of his body, he shot forward, ripping through the air on a straight line to the dope ride carrying his paramour family.

He felt the minds in the car, numbering four...more like three and a half. With a slight widening of his eyes, he projected his image to the occupants and watched as the car came to a screeching halt. They knew he was coming.

Just as the car finished skidding and leaving black tracks on the road, he touched down gently in its path, giving them a few feet of breathing room.

Lurch was the first to make his exit. His mind truly not one for understanding the depths of water that he was currently treading.

He walked to the back of the car and opened the door, waiting for the occupants to make their exit.

He only had to wait for a few moments for them to finish their discussion.

Vlad did them the curtesy of not listening in. The Toretto treatment always adheres to respect.

Gomez was the first to egress, holding his hand out, which was taken by Morticia, as she came out directly after, with Pugsley awkwardly shuffling out last.

Vlad could not help the smile that pulled at his lips. Originally, he thought that he would have to fake a feeling or two, in order to make himself appear more approachable, while at the same time maintaining his dominance. However, that was proven unnecessary. As soon as he laid eyes on them, every single memory he held of listening to Wednesday debrief him on all of their suspicious actions and nefarious endeavors as they sought to ruin her life in one way or another came tumbling back.

He allowed himself a moment to come to the realization that the first time he met them, he literally paid them not a single ounce of attention. If he felt embarrassment, he would probably feel it now. Luckily, embarrassment is for the riff-raff and he is Vlad.

The family of three plus one made their way forward. Their eyes cautious and assessing, though the fear had dimmed considerably once they calmed themselves and took a good look at him, rather than the being that they saw torpedoing at them through the sky.

It would appear they recognized him. Especially if the slight smile and look of interest that Morticia was beginning to sport was any indicator. It led him to wonder if his little death had mentioned him to her parents, or if the woman just enjoyed looking like she had a secret that only she knew all the time. Either way, she was beautiful, just like her daughter. If Wednesday chose to age, she would not do it poorly.

They came to a stop in front of the Hearst, taking him in, his wings long since retreated into his back upon landing.

Vlad gave a slight bow as a sign of respect.

"Hello, Addams family, my name is Vlad Dracul, though you may know me as the stalker of your precious one." His voice, like rich chocolate, carried to their ears, coating them in a sweet melody. "It is our pleasure to meet each other."

He could see that the two elders of the family got his humor, however Pugsley was proving to be a most complicated puzzle. The boy looked both lost and focused. Vlad could not be sure whether he was following along or not. Very intriguing.

"Hello, Vlad Dracul," Morticia gave him her greeting, though he noticed that she did not saunter forward and take his hand, which seemed to be her natural inclination based on the slight movements in her muscles as she said hello. "Thank you for welcoming us. Though, I must ask, is there a reason for this impromptu introduction?"

A very good question.

He could respect their composure in the face of uncertainty. After all, outcasts are not known for their ability to fly, project their image, or possess the face of unparalleled beauty. All of which pointed to him being a very unknown entity. Flight was reserved only for those in the stories.

"Well, getting to know one another was always an inevitability. Wednesday will probably tell you why that is. However, I know her well enough to know that meeting one another in her presence would not necessarily allow for...open communication, with her trying to outmaneuver you in whatever game she chooses to play. Therefore," He took a step forward, which covered more distance than should have been possible, and came to only a few steps from them. "I wanted to give you the opportunity to ask of me what you will." He finished, motioning towards the car from which they made their exit.

Gomez and Morticia looked at one another. A silent conversation much like his own, only far less efficient. Or...perhaps more? They do seem to know one another incredibly well.

It would appear they have come to a decision. A wise decision.

As the group made their way back to the car, Vlad adjusted his sight to the youngest member of the Addams family. Contemplating looking through his mind. He wondered what he would find in the affable young lads thought bubbles.

Though, he only entertained the notion for a moment. The Toretto treatment can sometimes be more of a hassle than it is worth. Especially where his curiosity is involved.
