Love Is Not Enough

Aiden and Ryan looked toward the front door at the same time.

It only rang once.

They exchanged curious glances for a moment before Aiden climbed off the couch and moved toward the door.

Ryan too followed closely behind.

The door was unlocked and pushed open.

There was no one in front of the door.

Aiden stepped out to the verandah but there was still no one around.

"Maybe a silly child pulling a prank," Aiden said.

"Possibly," Ryan agreed. He pushed the door close and hugged Aiden from behind.

Aiden got a goosebump when Ryan's lips hovered close to his neck.

"Wait," he quickly interrupted the vampire before he sank his fangs into Aiden's neck.

"Hmm?"

"It doesn't work like that," Aiden raised an eyebrow at Ryan. "I do not want to guard you twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week just so nothing happens between you and him."

What was he, a vampire bodyguard?

Ryan pushed Aiden against the door and pinched his chin so that the latter was looking up at him.
