Rabid vampires were weak against sunlight, so they hid in dark and damp places such as caves and underground tunnels.

As long as living creatures did not make much sound when they passed through these places, they would not attract the attention of the rabid vampires. They mostly slept during the day after a night of hunting.

Aiden's coven of rabid vampires was quite different. After experimenting for five years, Aiden discovered that his blood had a miraculous effect on the rabid vampires. A few drops of his blood on regular basis were enough to give them similar traits to regular vampires.

They could talk and think on their own, did not fear sunlight, and did not display any abnormal behavior.

Although the rabid vampires who had yet to drink Aiden's blood were brainless puppets, they were very obedient to Aiden. They did not dare to step foot outside of their current living space, and only moved according to Aiden's direction.
