Aiden's Reluctance

The corners of Ryan's lips were pulled up into a smile. He leaned closer and pinched Aiden's jaw. Then, he tilted the young man's head so that they were looking directly at each other.

They were so close to each other right now that Aiden could see his own face reflected in Ryan's eyes.

"Can I kiss you?" the vampire asked.

"Hmm," was all Aiden managed to say to voice out his agreement.

"Then, close your eyes," the vampire said.

He placed a hand around Aiden's waist, while the other snaked to the back of Aiden's head.

The young man inadvertently held his breath and closed his eyes while he waited for the kiss to land.

When the pair of cold lips pressed against his own, Aiden could feel his own heart racing rapidly against his chest.

It was not his first kiss.

His first kiss was robbed during their first time two months ago. But this kiss felt more like a first kiss. One that was overflowing with love and passion, consensual on both sides.
