"Is there breakfast?" Dax asked.
"Breakfast?" Fey asked. "It's lunch time Daxy."
"I slept that late?" Dax asked. "I haven't slept like that in a long time."
"You are probably just worn out from all the adventuring we have been doing lately." Fey said. "I think the two of us have done more in our first week of the academy than most do in a whole year. Maybe even more than they do the whole time they are enrolled."
"Wouldn't doubt it." Dax said.
Elle returned upstairs with some cooked meat on a stick. "I thought you might be a little bit hungry when you woke up, so I got you this." She said as she handed it to Dax. It had a strong aroma that filled the air with its delightful smell. It has obviously been cooked on an open flame and marinated in fruit juice and peppers.
"Smells great!" Dax said as he took it from her. He took a bite of it as soon as he had it. The flavors hit his tongue and felt like a cascade of explosions going to his brain. "This is amazing!"
