Dan had to make a new medicinal paste to apply on the wound and tied it with a new clean white cloth.
Evelyn felt flustered when she realized that she had troubled him because of her carelessness. But Regan felt that it was best if she felt like this. Then perhaps she would take care of her wound in the future and not move carelessly as she did a few moments ago.
One thing that Regan was now sure of was, Evelyn was very afraid of troubling others. She felt very uncomfortable if someone else would have to do some sort of work because of her. She wanted to do her work on her own.
As much as Regan found it endearing, he also felt helpless.
Because he really wished that in the future, Evelyn would depend on him at times like this.
After Dan left, Regan asked a guard to the kitchen and inform them they could send the meal.
However, when he returned inside the chambers, he found Evelyn lying on the bed with a troubled expression.
