Chapter 32

Wakefulness was slow to return to Traeger but the first thing she noticed was she felt no pain. In fact she sensed what she thought might be the beginnings of discomfort but nothing more than that. She had a suspicion as to why. Arleigh was good but she wasn't that good. Nor would the healer take away Traeger's pain entirely. The destroyer needed to tell her how bad off she was. Which left one other possibility. Traeger focused, feeling the immediate connection through her bond.
