3.20 Leap

Cass got changed and stayed in his bedroom until dinner. He sat on the bed and read a book.

Despite trying to focus, he couldn't stop thinking about Bastian. He rewatched what happened, and he feels stressed.

Bastian jumped just above a pipe. If he hadn't caught him, and they hadn't both floated up because of Cass and the pill he had taken, Bastian would've hit the side of the building and been impaled.

There was no hesitation on Bastian's face when he jumped, like there was never a choice. No one ever had this back like that. It makes it hard to be angry, especially after he saved his life.

Cass didn't even thank him. When it happened, and they were on the ground again, he was in shock. Not because he almost died, but because Gege leaped into action.

Cass had a Plan B in case that guard still went through with the plan, but before he could save himself, Bastian did. He's so annoying.

When someone knocked, Cass looked up.

"Come in."
