2. The visitors

When Mariel got to his room he looked at himself in the mirror, he was average in looks with his short black hair, his fair skin and his dark brown eyes. 'I am already 16 and I have yet to seal my beast spirit '. "I'm so excited" he exclaimed.

He looked beside him. On a table there was a picture of his father in a red armor and he held a red crystal sword.

He has never seen his father before but he has seen videos of his past battles and his father was damn strong.

His father was his role model and inspiration to become stronger. Due to the laws of nature, to balance the power of this world the cube created a rule that any warrior that advanced and got too powerful for this world would be teleported to another world/planet after receiving a warning.

A light flashed in his eyes as he also wanted to get stronger and meet his father one day.

***ding dong***

"I'm coming" as the doorbell rang his mom went to open the door. Seems like their visitors have arrived.

After Mariel showered and dried his hair he went to take out his phone, it was just a transparent screen and as he checked his messages he checked a particular one.

[You have gotten an admission into solace academy, congratulations!. Your registration date is on the 7th of September, 4097. Don't miss it].

*sigh* "What a tiring day" he said as he got dressed and went downstairs for dinner.

When he got downstairs he saw three people in the sitting room and one of them was an old person. The other two were quite young and he estimated that they would be between 20 - 30 years old.

"Greetings" he said as he passed them and went towards the dining room where a single dish was being served. 'Isn't mom eating too' he thought.

After his mom took a shower and got dressed she went to the parlor where there was three people, one elder and two younger people but they were both elders.

"Now that you're done let's get on with it" the old man, Renol said. He had golden hair which was a very weird colour for people. Nobody thought his hair was weird as mages had various colours of hair naturally. Renol's eyes were also weird as his eyes were yellow in colour.

"okay we are going to test him but I'll be the one to talk." Mary said as she and the three visitors went to the dining.

On getting to the dining all they could see was a bowl of food with a dent in it, like someone put a finger in it. "Mariel, MARIEL!" she called for him but there was no reply. "He isn't home?" the young female elder among the said in an impatient tone.

***Elsewhere***

On the streets of Kentucky where Mariel's house is he was walking to a restaurant across the main road that read.(seafood restaurant).

"Can't believe she used so many raspberry peppers, my tongue still burns from just tasting it" he said as he made his way towards the restaurant.

When he got inside the restaurant the view was nice, too nice, there were pirate weapons used to design the place giving it a cool vibe, the table where people eat is inside a boat, which very much looked like a theme for 'A date on sea'.

But Mariel wasn't looking at all these things. Not because of their lack of beauty but because of the pepper burning his mouth. He went to sit on an empty table and call for the waiter.

"What can I get you?" a handsome young waiter said. "Hmm...just give me water first" he said as he looked out the window.

*sigh* (Today is Friday so I still have two days before I go to school).

***Meanwhile***

"He isn't answering his calls" Mary said clearly afraid that Mariel has ran away after tasting the hot dish. Although she knew her son would not run away, she still feared it as even she did not dare drink the soup...not again.

"Leave him. He wants to escape the fire soup" Renol said as he went to sit on a couch in the parlor and closed his eyes.

"He will be back just relax" Renol said. "How do you know that he will be back" Mary asked in fear of loosing her son. "I can see him!" Renol said as he opened his eyes and his eyes glowed a golden light. And everyone calmed down after they knew that he was safe.
