Chapter 39: Curse of the Ruby Throne 5: The Day The Dragon Broke

(a/n I reposted this, I just edited last paragraphs cause the mistakes ruined it after re-reading)

Having escaped the inner ring thanks to Rael climbing over the inner wall, I quickly made my way to the the Temple District in the Noble exclusive section of the city.

Temples are spread out all across the Imperial City, even one located near the Waterfront where I had recently called it home, but after today it won't be

I broke through the main doors of the Temple of the One only to be faced with a few Thalmor mages.

It seems they know that the Tower of Creation located in Cyrodiil was once the White-Gold Tower but after the Oblivion Crisis and the shattering of the Amulet of Kings, the statue of the Avatar of Akatosh became the replacement.

Their examining it.

Before they could even cast their spells Rael had already leapt onto one of them, taking a bite of the unfortunate mage's neck.

The other I aimed my Wrist Crossbow, the Poison caused the man to convoluted on the spot and spores rapidly grew on his face. His body began to swell up like a organic balloon, as the puss pores slowly exploded one by one.

"Holy Fuck! That is some creepy ass shit!"

'I'm getting rid of this Poison as soon as I can, I'm not letting this cursed green pee touch my body! Let alone being near it!'

The last guy was utterly petrified at the sight of his companion's unsightly demise as his pants became wet and a foul smell of urine made its way over to Rael.

His nose caught the smell which immediately made him go berserk as he devoured the man.

I had already jumped off the saddle and was reinforcing the doors and windows to prevent entry.

I use my custom made Frost Magic to freeze absolutely everything solid.

I went to take a look of the outside from the now frozen window that had 1.2 metres of ice as its thickness.

Only to be met by a familiar face staring back at me.

Elika?

What is she doing here?

She tried calling out to me but the ice was too thick that the sound was greatly muffled.

I don't have time for this now, my life is at stake.

It pains me that I can't say goodbye or know what she is thinking but I need to so this.

She'll most likely see me as an enemy from what I'm going to do.

Chances are...I'm going to cause a Dragon Break.

If I'm lucky, is a medium sized Dragon Break, but the possibility of it making a massive Dragon Break is far more likely.

I need to pray that Jils don't perceive me as a threat to Time and come after me.

Apparently, Jils being female Dragon's are stronger than their Male counterparts.

Leaving Elika, who was desperately trying to melt the ice with her flame spells, I stood before the statue of the Dragon God Akatosh himself.

"The raw power emanating from the stone alone is tremendous, how has nobody felt this? How have they not even thought to harness its power?"

But unbeknownst to Sivreth, because of his relationship with him being a descendent of Auriel, he has the hidden ability to see "Hidden Forces" thanks to Auriel's connection to the sun.

Anything that the sun or light shines upon is revealed, not even things that lurks in the darkness can hide when the light exposes it.

Thus, Sivreth has the ability similar in that capacity where he is able to see through nearly any Illusion or anything that is "hidden" to the world or its inhabitants.

That includes being able to perceive the hidden divine power emanating from the stone statue of Akatosh.

"To think that a mere statue of a God's remains could have such power...and Martin Septim weilded Akatosh's full power before his death. What the feeling must have been..."

I walked ever closer to the statue, reaching my hand out as I did so.

I didn't hesitate and directly placed my hand onto the statue of Akatosh, I did my best to remember the feeling and sensations coursing throughout my body.

However, the power was so great my mind couldn't focus clear enough.

It took a while but I was able to somewhat regain control of myself and tried my best to both remember and comprehend the divine power I had felt.

I did this so that I can try to use this insight to develop my power magical abilities and prowess in the future.

I put a blindfold over my eyes after i had prepared everything.

I held the Elder Scroll in my hand as I began to invoke the power of the Elder Scroll.

"Auriel, Akatosh, Alduin! I call upon your names! Hear my plea as Aka soul of Anui-El, grant Anui-El's light so that my words may be carried across Tamriel! As Dragonfires there once was, beatow upon me the right of power so that this contract may be heard and fulfilled! Let my words become true and echo throughout all Time!"

Nothing happened at first, but after a few brief seconds where I hadn't noticed I held me breath, the statue of Akatosh to crack and slowly fall apart revealing the flame like body of the genuine Avatar of Akatosh!

I was in utter disbelief and shock!

The Godly Avatar that towered above me as if I was an ant, for in truth i was when compared to a God, gazed down at me with what I would assume to be a neutral expression.

Only enough, unknown to me, the ice I had made to reinforce any entry points into the Temple hadn't melted despite the divine fire radiating off of Akatosh's body had been previously used to burn Mehrunes Dagon's true form into nothingness hundreds of years ago in this exact spot!

Akatosh didn't say anything as his gaze peered into my soul, I could feel him invading my mind and the thought of resisting didn't even come to mind.

After what felt like an eternity to me, Akatosh curled his body into a ball with his wings encasing and shielding his body.

The gigantic figure of the Dragon God slowly became smaller and smaller until only a pile of bones in the Emperor's clothing remained and a small ball of divine flames

When I touched the ball of fire, my hand was perfectly fine and unharmed.

Instead, it began to morph and change into a beautiful vial containing a brightly glowing liquid like essence.

A sudden pain assaulted my brain but it vanished as quickly as it had came.

Akatosh had conveyed the meaning of the vial and what I was to do with it.

It was a test.

I needed to carry the vial on my person at all times, when I reach the Forgotten Vale, I must first collect the water from each of the Wayshrines with the Initiate's Ewer.

After that I need to pour a few drops of this vial into the water and drink from it directly.

I need to do this at each and every Wayshrine and finally the last one at the balcony where Arch-Curate Vyrthur resides.

I can't put it in my Storage Space to protect it, it is a test. If the vial breaks before then or its contents wasted, then my life will come to an end.

I looked over to the Skeletal remains...

Martin Septim...

The illegitimate son of Emperor Uriel Septim VII, and the last Emperor and member of the Septim Dynasty.

I walked over to his remains, I noticed that the clothes were in Emperor's clothes he had worn before becoming the Avatar of Akatosh was in perfect condition.

Standing over his remains I was at a loss of what to do next. Instead I just gathered his remains inside of a box I summoned along with his clothes before placing them inside my Storage Ring.

Akatosh wanted me to take care of his body.

I'll bury him once I am able to return to the Imperial City safely.

I breathed in and out a few times.

"I'm ready, let Tamriel hear my voice."

When i said uttered those words, the Elder in my hand began to glow lightly.

Knowing that my request had been fulfilled, I changed Tamriel's future for years to come.

"Races of Tamriel, hear my voice, hear my words. I am Sivreth Aival Erdys Lyr Es Aur-I-El, the last of the Falmer, the Snow Prince! By the power and will of Anui-El I make my words known to all! I will purge the Thalmor from the face of Nirn, I will restore the Falmer race to their former glory! I openly declare war on all who would do me and my people harm! And this is to the Thalmor, don't think I don't know your plans for Skyrim and Hammerfell. I know what it is you are doing and I will stop you. Skyrim's Tower is under my protection. And to everyone, of every race of every Faction to every lord or lady of your kingdom! For too long has war, politics, bloodshed and death surrounded the greed for conquest and power! Many Empire's rose and fell since the Merethic Era unto this very day! No more! I forever curse the Ruby Throne! May this curse be inviolable, undoable, unending and all consuming! May none escape it should they take the challenge! Only those of the virtues of a great ruler, of one that would do anything for their subjects and truly commit themselves to their people, from every man, woman and child no matter what race. So long as they serve their Lord, their Lord must serve them. Honor, charity, compassion, wisdom, power, respect, love, duty! Should anyone attempt to seize the Runy Throne, attempt to conqour any land other than the one they already rule, the curse of the Ruby Throne will claim you, should you not follow these principles, the curse will claim you. Let my name and these word be indelible!"

Having finished my speech, my grip suddenly held nothing but air as the Elder Scroll in my hands vanished before me.

Huh, I guess that's what the future me meant by it being temporary. Now the only Elder Scrollin my position is the one I stole from the White-Gold Tower.

However, unbeknownst to Sivreth, deep within the buried ruins of Kolbjorn Barrow licated on Solstheim, a rather specific Dragon Priest that had a eternal hatred of the Falmer race had felt the power of the Elder Scroll being used.

He awoke just in time to hear Sivreth's proclamation.

Learning that after thousands of years, the vile Snow Elves that had killed his family yet lived and survived after all this time swore to enact his vengeance.

For he was Ahzidal, the Embittered Destroyer.
