Ivan: Be Careful… You Must Be Careful!

Editor: Atlas Studios

After bidding Hermione farewell, Ivan, Harry, and Ron returned to the dormitory.

As soon as she opened the front door to her room, she saw Seamus and Neville sitting around a table by the window, staring at the large bags that were sitting there.

"What is it, Seamus?" Yvonne asked casually as she approached him.

"An owl just sent a package. It's strange, it doesn't have a name on it. I don't know who it's for," Seamus replied.

Yvonne looked at the items on the table and frowned, thinking about Snape's warning in Potions.

"Well, we're all here now, so why don't we just open it and find out who it's for?" Ron was very curious, and he pushed Seamus out of the way as he tried to reach for it.

Ivan was distracted for a moment, but there was no time to warn him. He was too busy holding his wand at his waist, ready to help.

The package was easily opened by Ron.

Ivan's expected explosion and curse did not occur, nor did any of the horrible, ferocious dark creatures pop out of the package — which contained a large bag of sweets!

Honeybees, Chocolate Frogs, Bibi Flavour Beans…

"There's even the latest licorice wand," Ron said in amazement as he took out a box of sweets in the shape of a brown wand.

He had seen them at Honeydukes Sweetshop in Hogsmeade last year, and they were quite expensive.

Seamus and Neville were also picking and choosing the sweets they liked.

Ivan had no interest in sweets, so he spotted the note in one of the many boxes and grabbed it.

Ivan was stunned when he saw what was inside.

"Watch out … Snape?" Harry leaned closer and read the note.

"What are you talking about, Harry? Don't tell me Snape sent this package?" Ron joked.

"I mean, this note says Beware of Snape!" Harry explained.

Ron and Seamus were both surprised, and Ivan handed over the note.

After reading them, the crowd speculated about who had sent them and why they had warned them about Snape.

"Harry, could Sirius have sent the package?" Ron asked suddenly.

"No way. Sirius would have put his name on it." Harry shook his head.

Now that Sirius was cleared of all charges, there was no need for him to hide anymore. They could have just sent it to him. There was no need to be so secretive.

"Maybe he wanted to surprise you! Who else could it be?" Ron shrugged.

In his third year, Sirius gave Harry and Ivan a Firebolt without asking for their names, and was extremely generous.

Furthermore, Sirius and Snape had a lot of beef with each other and had a motive for writing the note after a near-fight in the safe house.

At Ron's words, Harry became uncertain.

Surely no one would send them so many sweets for no reason?

Such a large bag would cost at least dozens of Galleons.

Ivan, on the other hand, ruled out Sirius because he suspected that the person who sent the package was up to no good.

Seamus, the only one who had nothing to do, didn't join in the discussion. As they talked, he unwrapped a Chocolate Frog and tried to put it in his mouth.

"Don't eat it, Seamus!" Yvonne was shocked and instinctively grabbed the Chocolate Frog out of Seamus's hand. She threw it on the floor and waved her wand.

"incendio (fire roaring)!"

A small flame shot out and exploded, incinerating the Chocolate Frog.

Ivan didn't relax at all. He waved his wand and summoned a stream of water to clean his left hand, which had touched the Chocolate Frog.

Thank God… Thank God I didn't get hit!

Ivan breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that he had been too careless. He should have destroyed everything the moment he realized that something was wrong with the package.

What if this Chocolate Frog or the note happened to contain a vicious curse…

Ivan thought about Dumbledore's blackened right hand and shivered.

Cautious… You must be cautious!

Ivan tried to remind himself of this, but when he turned around, he found Seamus staring at him with a confused expression.

Harry, Ron, and Neville also had strange looks on their faces.

Ivan cleared his throat to hide his rising embarrassment, then went on with a calm expression. "Ahem, I think it's from either You-Know-Who or a Death Eater."

"Don't forget that the Secret Men have always wanted to murder Harry. If they didn't succeed in the cemetery last year, they might have tried to poison him in secret."

Instead of sharing Snape's warning, Ivan blamed Harry.

After all, he could not explain why Voldemort was deliberately targeting him.

He couldn't say that he had beaten up Voldemort two months ago, so the other party hated him and would do anything for him, right?

'You can't be mistaken, Ivan.'

Seamus winced at Ivan's explanation. You-Know-Who sent Harry a bag of sweets and poisoned them?

This is such nonsense…

Harry wasn't convinced, either. If the parcel's sender was planning to poison them, why would he specifically warn them about Snape?

"Then it might be a trick to confuse us, or it's better to be safe than sorry," Ivan said forcefully, then decisively waved his wand to collect the scattered sweets back into his bag, then burned everything to ashes.

Harry and Seamus looked at each other in silence, deeply suspicious of Ivan's persecution complex.

Ron stared at the ashes on the table, which had been blown away by the wind, and couldn't help but feel that it was a pity that he hadn't eaten any of the snacks.

"If you want some, I'll go to Honeydukes tomorrow and get some for you…" Ivan said, obviously reading Ron's mind.

Soon, however, another thought occurred to Ivan.

What if the owner of Honeydukes was under the Imperius Curse?

Could it be that the other party deliberately sent a large bag of sweets to lure him there to find clues?

Yvonne was lost in thought for a moment, then decided that she would be more cautious the next day, pretending to go to Honeysuckle and then Apparating from Hogsmeade to Knockturn Alley.

Ivan sighed with relief and turned back to the note floating in the air.

Snape had just warned himself about eating at Hogwarts in the morning, and now someone had sent him a package and warned him about Snape…

This is really… interesting!
