Ivan: We Have to Believe that Hars Is a Good Comrade!

Editor: Atlas Studios

'About me?'

Ivan, momentarily stunned, looked at Snape strangely. It was the first time that he had ever been told off by someone while pretending to be Dumbledore.

"What is it, Albus?" Snape asked, narrowing his eyes. He had a vague feeling that Dumbledore was acting strangely, and then he remembered that the password to the Headmaster's office had not been changed in a long time, so he became suspicious.

Ivan shook his head and said in a low voice, "No, nothing. I'm just curious about what the kid did this time. I need you to report to me…"

Snape was silent for a while, studying "Dumbledore" but unable to see any flaws, and unsure if he was being paranoid.

Under normal circumstances, no one would dare to sit in the Headmaster's office disguised as Dumbledore with Polyjuice Potion.

Furthermore, Fawkes the phoenix was hovering over Hogwarts this morning, and he had seen him holding Dumbledore's Elder Wand.

With this in mind, Snape cast aside his doubts and recounted the events of the night before.

In particular, the emphasis was placed on his conflict with Black and the others, which resulted in Ivan petrifying his body with a special ocular spell…

"To tell you the truth, those eyes gave me a very bad feeling… a bit like that man…" Snape still had a lingering fear as he recalled what had happened.

He only met Ivan's eyes for an instant, and his body was petrified enough to affect his movements. He also felt death in that instant. If he had stared at Ivan for a moment longer, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

Hearing Snape's words, Yvonne realised that her snake eyes had frightened him, and that was why he had come to complain.

Ivan, however, was frustrated. He had worked so hard for this, and yet Snape was suspicious of him over such a small matter.

Despite her thoughts, Yvonne did not forget who she was, so when she spoke again, it was in a different tone.

"This is certainly cause for alarm, Severus!"

"Hales is full of mysteries, and sometimes even I can't get a handle on them…" Ivan said, trying to think of how Dumbledore might react.

However, Ivan didn't seem to have any intention of attacking him, so he changed his tone, indicating that the power of magic could not be fully seen in one's lifetime.

Harls has always been a good student and has done much for the peace of the wizarding community, and we should not be prejudiced against such a good student just because he is unique…

Ivan went on and on, trying to dispel any doubts Snape might have and promising to talk to Mr. Halles himself sometime in the future.

Snape saw that Dumbledore did not seem to care much for this particular type of ocular magic, so he said nothing more.

"I'm just reminding you of that. If you really trust him that much, then so be it…"

"Also, the Ministry has requested additional Dementors to watch over Black and Peter…" Snape added, remembering his business there.

Dementors?

Ivan frowned at this news, unsure what Fudge was up to. He had gone to a lot of trouble to get the Dementor out of the way, and now Fudge was trying to get it back.

After the Daily Prophet reported the incident, he and Fudge had no further conflict regarding Sirius and Peter.

Both sides needed to be assured of their safety until court, so Ivan was not too worried about Fudge's shady dealings.

Snape fixed his gaze on "Dumbledore," who seemed to be lost in thought. "I hope you remember our agreement!"

Ivan woke up with a start. "Of course, our agreement always stands!" he said, nodding cooperatively.

"Good!" Snape stared at Ivan's face the whole time, seeing no hesitation or confusion on his face. Finally, he dismissed his doubts and left the Headmaster's office.

Ivan wiped the cold sweat from his forehead as he watched Snape disappear into the Headmaster's office. He had not expected Snape to use this to test him.

If he had not been a time-traveler and understood that Dumbledore had promised Harry protection, he would have been seen through…

After Snape's probing, Ivan dared not stay in the Headmaster's office, lest he encounter other professors and revert to his original appearance.

As Ivan left the Headmaster's office for the Gryffindor Lounge, he ran into Harry and the others.

"Ivan! Did Professor Dumbledore say something to you? We saw Sirius being taken away by the Ministry!" Harry called out worriedly when he saw Ivan coming out of the Headmaster's office.

"Yeah, he's not going back to Azkaban, is he?" Ron asked, looking worried about the new pet Sirius had promised him.

Yvonne opened her mouth to reply, but Hermione intervened.

"I've analyzed the situation with you before, and I don't think so! Sirius has been cleared of all suspicion and will not return to Azkaban. My guess is that the Ministry has brought them back for questioning!"

As she spoke, Hermione turned to Ivan for confirmation.

"Right, Ivan!"

"No, you're all wrong. Sirius and Peter are being held at Hogwarts!" Ivan exclaimed, shaking his head.

"They're still at Hogwarts? Really? Where?" Harry's earlier worried look was gone, replaced by a look of excitement, as he couldn't wait to see how Sirius was doing.

"Forgive me for not being able to tell you, Harry!" Ivan said, brutally rebuffing Harry's inquiry.

"Sirius is being watched over by the Aurors of the Ministry of Magic, and will not be able to meet with you, so it would be best if you left him alone, lest you cause trouble for Professor Dumbledore!"

Ivan was well aware of Harry's ability to court death, and if he found out that the Ministry of Magic had sent Dementors to help guard Sirius, he would raise hell again.

Therefore, Ivan was determined not to reveal Sirius's exact location in case they got into trouble and ended up having to deal with it themselves.
