Hayley would probably be crossing the lines of New Orleans soon. Five years….isn't what they had promised? Klaus was supposed to stay away from New Orleans. Disappear, be untraceable. With an aching heart, he did what he had to do.

Caroline Forbes and Klaus Mikaelson landed in Mystic Falls after a long time.

Caroline was with mixed feelings. She had gone to Whitmore College with Elena and Bonnie.

Either they were in some kind of trouble, or maybe....they didn't care about her enough to look for her when she disappeared one day without a trace.

Not even her mother came? She had thousands of questions.

Why hadn't Liz Forbes come look for her?

"This is my house." She said absentmindedly. Pointing to the house she had lived in all her life.

"It would be empty right now!"

"I don't think so, love." Klaus replied quietly, as he heard someone in the house.

A four year old girl and boy came out of the front door, and the girl started to chase the boy.

"Someone lives here."

"No!" Caroline argued, "This is my house, I am not crazy! I grew up here….I think I would know my own house!"

She walked up the house, and pulled open the door, with anger, desperation and force. The door knob came into hands, she dropped it on the ground.

She tried to go in, but couldn't.

"What the hell….?"

She pounded her fists against the invisible shield stopping her from getting in the house.

"Carol…"

It hurt, but she didn't care.

"Why…why…is this happening?" Her hands started to bleed, they repaired, bled, again and again.

"Caroline, love…Caroline….CAROLINE!" She shouted. He held her arms, and shook her. "Look at me!"

She calmed down,

"You are just hurting yourself!"

She nodded, tearing welling up in her eyes.

"Okay…you are right, you are right." She sighed, "You are right."

She put the door knob back, and rang the bell. A young woman, around the age of thirty, came out,

"May I help you?" She looked at Caroline, and then at Klaus surprised. "Who are you? You look…..familiar."

She asked.

"Hi…I was told that Sheriff Forbes lived here." Caroline didn't disclose her identity yet. "Is she here?"

The woman looked at her in surprise.

"Elizabeth Forbes?" Caroline looked at her impatiently. "Is she here?"
