Prerequisite for cultivation 

The officer explained that cultivation itself has always been a sensitive topic, and most people couldn't cultivate due to a lack of talent.

Being able to fight didn't mean that one would be able to cultivate, although it significantly increased the chances.

That was the primary reason the base would invest resources in them to enable them to cultivate as opposed to others who were not in the top ten, they would have to make great contributions to get the chance to try out cultivation

"So can anyone tell me what it means to cultivate?" the officer asked.

"Cultivation is the way of using the powers of heaven and earth to strengthen one's body and soul," Wilder replied snappily.

"Is that so?" The officer asked as he scanned across the platform, seemingly looking to see if others had any other opinions.

He was met with silence.

"Yes, you are correct," the officer said with a smile on his face.
