Tear*
Golla tore the door with his sword, looking at the guards who had died before their arrival. The blood ran through their heels, causing a frown on them. Golla understood they must have to look for the elixir, but by the looks of the vault, they shouldn't have found it yet. Hence, he went to the center and chanted the mantra of victory.
The divine magic shone down on them as the door filled with golden insignias came out from nowhere. He took out a key from his neck and unlocked the door without any complications.
" The elixir should be beyond the door. However, we need to get out quickly. Otherwise, they will catch up with us."
Golla said, leaning the frame with a weak look. He lost too much blood on the way and knew he was running out of time as his life force was getting weaker and weaker.
" What about you? At this rate, you will die from blood loss."
Jocylee knew how terrible his injury was and worried about his well-being, but a hand was patted on her shoulder. The firm look in his eyes indicated he was willing to complete his last mission with glory and he was leaving everything to her.
" Tsk* Don't you have a last wish?"
Jocylee clicked her tongue, supporting him from his side while looking for the elixir. Golla took out the key and handed it toward her to ensure its safety.
" Deliver it to the queen. The child must have the key in case any danger befalls them. Unfortunately, I can't see the baby's face."
He smiled bitterly, stopping before a tall shelf with a cross symbol. He opened the golden glass and took out a clear liquid with a gorgeous bottle. The divine energy and magical energy of this medicine were no joke as they could feel it through the seal, but this medicine could save only one person.
The goal was the queen of Bastia while his life was meaningless for the greater cause. Castella had sacrificed himself for it and he would do the same for the greater good of his people.
Jocylee silently took the key and gazed into his eyes. There she saw the determination that would do anything for her and his people.
" You have touched my heart, Golla. As a fellow knight, I admit you as the greatest and noblest knight I have ever seen in my life. May your goddess bless you and your people."
She said, going out from the back door to escape. She knew she had no time to spare and so did Golla. They both had accomplished their goals and the only thing to do now is to save Jenna before the poison kills her.
Step*
" Oh my, were you waiting for us? You look tired, mortal."
Red licked his lips, looking at the knight who stood there without any fear on his face. He wore his helmet, covering his face while taking a stance to defend himself with his all might.
" Golla, you can stop now. You are going to die at this rate."
Dickenson said with sadness, truly impressed by his will and determination. Although he betrayed his king, he was still a swordsman in his heart, so he respected Golla who never backed away. The code of this man wasn't broken despite his injury and his mental state.
" I am the knight of the glory and I will live with glory and die with glory. You can take my body, but you will never take my soul and will."
Golla spoke loudly, illuminating the whole area with divine energy. At last, the goddess heard her children's cry and lent out her strength to stop the evil. However, she didn't know who was their enemy.
" The light of victory that was born from the first light. Your goddess is just a daughter of my arch-enemy, the God of Eternal Light. She is too young to compare with me."
Red laughed, revealing his demonic energy that corrupted everything on its way.
" My back will stand tall. I will do everything to stop you, demon!"
Golla shouted, slashing his sword that was basked in light. This was his last fight and he will perish with glory.
