Chapter 4

Roseline walked to her friends house Amanda in total disappointment she wouldn't have believed anyone telling her that one-day,her mother will raise her hands on her. But now it happened all because of her so called father. She hurriedly walked into Amanda's apartment luckily she was at home

"Hey! Roseline" Amanda called in surprise seeing her friend

"Well I'm just making cupcakes I was preparing to come over to your house for the weekend.

"Is that so? Asked Roseline throwing her bag inside the wardrobe.

"What's up girl? Did you come to spend the weekend here?

She asked surprised this is unlike Roseline yeah she is her friend but Roseline never stays out of her mom comfort.

"Yeah! Are you expecting a visitor?" She asked uninterested.

" No, she giggled "I'm just glad you came to spend the weekend with me today after a long time.

"Actually I have some news for you.it May be a bad news"she said with a pause looking at Roseline but she doesn't seem to care.

"You ain't concerned" Amanda said

"Ohh sweetie! Everything can be bad because all is bad already."

" Well, this is totally bad I'm sure of it she said keeping the cupcakes on the dinning.

"Wilfred!" She called and Roseline sat up right.

"What happened to him? She asked with all interest.

"Nothing, for now. She said not sure.

" You know, it's been a month now and Wilfred didn't bother to call me I checked on his house the last time I went for a computer training but he wasn't at hime"she said bitterly.

" Well the truth is, Wilfred no longer stays said. Amanda said in pity.

"WheeW does he live now? She asked curiously.

"I don't know! She lied not wanting to tell her the truth.roseline and wilfred have been high school lovers until now. While Roseline attended college, Wilfred didn't but he worked in a good place.

"Why is your face like this? Amanda asked noticing how dull her friend looked.

"Just forget it tell me what happened to Wilfred.

"I'm afraid wilfree no longer loves you he is cheating on you!. Amanda let the bomb explode.

"That's an expensive joke you know?" She said not believing.

" It's not a joke! That's true! Infact he has been dating this girl that newly came to my department in the last three months. She said pitifully.

"Are you serious? What's your proof?

" That's your problem Roseline! You always don't believe what anyone says" she complained.

" I was to help the girl in some equations when she started a video call, I saw through and it was wilfred. Haven known how bad things were between you two, I decided to find out so I asked for the picture and she gave it to me look at it".

She showed Roseline the picture and she stared in disappointment

"I'm sure Wilfred isn't a twin.what if he is,his twin wouldn't be answering Wilfred too" Amanda said disappointed.

" Wilfred? My goodness! Roseline exclaimed.

"How could two bad things happen to me in a day?.

"Take it easy Roseline. Just let Wilfred go he is not perfect for you. No wonder he has always refused your offer of coming to see your mom.

"Maybe he hates me because I'm a daughter of a single mother.

"Just be calm". Amanda adviced.

"My mom doesn't want to support me she is against me going to London and bow Wilfred?. She lamented sorrowfully.

"Don't worry everything will be fine" Amanda assured her friend.
