Chapter 163: Cats Know Everything (Edited)

Professor McGonagall stayed at the Burrow for a while, told Fish to stay out of trouble, talked to Mrs. Weasley about parenting lessons. After handing her the ingredients, she mounted Shadow and left the Burrow.

He had offered to pay for the Weasleys' food, but Mrs. Weasley flatly refused.

Although Professor McGonagall had said that Fish's favorite food was a bit expensive and that she could do whatever she wanted if she couldn't, Mrs. Weasley hadn't taken it seriously.

The family was poor, yes, but how much could a child eat? It was only a matter of a couple of extra knives and forks, wasn't it?

Mrs. Weasley didn't realize at the time how much and how well Fish, the gluttonous little man, could eat.

If it hadn't been for Professor McGonagall saying that the ingredients she had brought were for the Chinese food Fish liked, Mrs. Weasley would have refused them all.

While Mrs. Weasley was talking to Professor McGonagall, the twins dragged Fish upstairs to try some new things they had made over the summer.

Mainly it was the magical version of Monopoly, and some class-skipping candy.

But for Fish, skipping school was just a matter of wanting to do it, and the skipping candy was useless to him.

And he was never much interested in board games, so before long he became disinterested.

"Well...looks like we found the wrong person to try our products."

George and Fred saw that Fish wasn't interested, so they stopped insisting and put the board games away.

Although the loss of Fish's advertising might affect their sales a bit, the Weasley twins' brand was already well established with their cat-ear hair clips and other products, so it wasn't a problem without Fish.

"Oh really, I told you to stop coming up with this boring stuff all the time."

Percy had always been unhappy with the twins playing with these things, and lectured them in disgust.

In response, he got scornful faces from the twins, so Percy just ignored them and continued his lecture before turning to Fish and saying, "Let me show you around our house."

"No way nya," Fish resolutely refused, "Fish wants to explore on his own nya!"(●ΦωΦ●).

With that, Fish's body quickly shrank and turned into a small silver-gray tabby cat.

"Meow~" (=ΦωΦωΦ=).

After meowing at the Weasley children, Fish jumped onto the windowsill and disappeared in an instant.

"Ah!" Ginny, who had been staring at Fish's cat ears for a moment, seemed unable to react and, after a pause, suddenly screamed, running to the bed and shouting, "Fish, be careful! This is the third floor!"

But when he looked out the window, there was no sign of Fish.

"Don't worry, don't worry," Fred waved his hand casually, "Fish is a cat now, and he can use the Levitation Charm while he's a cat, there's no way he'll fall out."

Ginny turned to the others and found that even Percy looked calm, and let out a long sigh of relief, before blushing inexplicably.

Seeing her sister's appearance, George approached with a grin, "What's up, Ginny? isn't Fish a real charmer? But if you want to be his girlfriend, you've got a lot of competition."

"Who... who wants to be his girlfriend?! I just think Fish is cute."

Ginny's face flushed even redder, almost like her red hair, and she shouted at George angrily, raising her fist to punch her brother unscrupulously.

As a result, his performance made the other three unscrupulous brothers laugh.

While the four Weasley boys were taunting their sister, Fish had started pacing the Burrow. He followed the familiar scent and arrived first at Ron's room.

Ron's room is below the attic, resulting in an interesting sloping ceiling in his room.

The walls of the room were covered with posters of the Chudley Cannons, Ron's favorite Quidditch team, and he had even painted his entire room bright orange for the occasion: all seven players on the posters were wearing bright orange robes.

In one corner of the room were books stacked haphazardly, and Fish glanced at them, from Hogwarts textbooks to storybooks that Professor McGonagall had read to him.

On the windowsill where Fish stood, there was a huge fishbowl with frog eggs inside, and Ron's wand was placed in the bowl ever so carelessly.

Fish reached into the fish tank, picked up a few eggs, sniffed them, and put them back.

He then hopped around the tank and into the room, quickly locating his target.

"Meow!" (Scabbers, I'm here to play with you!).

(=`=)

Fish rushed under the bed, the familiar smell told him that Scabbers, the fat mouse, was hiding there.

Sensing Fish's arrival, Scabbers hid in the deepest part of the bed, where there was a small crevice he could squeeze through.

For a mouse, this crevice was a perfect hiding place, but for a cat, it was too small, so it prevented Fish from catching him.

Peter Pettigrew watched helplessly and resentfully as a pair of big green eyes roamed around the outside of the crevice, and every now and then a small furry paw would peek out, trying to reach Scabbers hiding inside.

The sharp claws constantly flashed past his eyes, and Peter Pettigrew could do nothing but shrink his chubby body deep inside the crevice to prevent Fish from catching him and using him as a toy.

"Meow!" (Don't be afraid, Scabbers, I won't hurt you).

Before you say that, get those glaring claws back!

Even though Peter knew Fish wouldn't hurt him, but he likes to chase him!

If he doesn't run, Fish will slap him like a ball...

This is playing?! This is playing with me!

When I get a chance to recover, I'll hang this damn cat up and beat the crap out of him!

Peter Pettigrew, who was curled up in a corner, thought viciously.

As for his ability to understand Fish's meowing, Peter had been at school long enough to get used to it, and he also discovered that Fish could also understand his squeaks.

This made Peter afraid to make any noise, which made Ron think Scabbers was sick, so he gave him some hard-to-swallow pills.

After digging around for a while, Fish seemed to lose interest in Scabbers and quickly withdrew his claws and disappeared.

But Peter Pettigrew was in no hurry to get out; God knows if the kitten would ambush him outside, and it was safer to stay inside and sleep.

Peter twisted his body in the crevice to make himself comfortable, intending to sleep first.

As soon as he closed his eyes, he heard the sound of a bed moving outside and the light outside the crevice grew brighter.

Immediately after, Fish's voice rang out.

"Accio!"

(●ΦωΦ●)つ━☆*.

Then Peter felt his body being pushed by something, and he flew out of the crack, and was caught by Fish, who was holding his wand.

"It's been a long time, Scabbers." (●ΦωΦ●)

Fish greeted Scabbers with a smile as he lifted him by the tail and placed him in front of him.

"Scabbers!" (Put me down!)

The fat mouse wriggled vigorously, struggling in Fish's hands.

"I can put you down, but don't run away again, nya."

Fish placed Scabbers on the removed bed and crouched down beside him, "I have something to ask you."

"Scabbers?" (What is it?)

Scabbers looked cautiously at Fish with his little eyes, ready to flee.

Fish leaned over the bed, rested his head on his arm and said with a smile, "I went to an animagus party with Minerva a while back, and when they turn into animals, they feel like you and Minerva."

He cocked his head, wiggled his ears and asked, "So, Scabbers, you're an animagus too, right?".

Scabbers: "!!!!"
