Chapter sixty eight

(Maria's POV)

"You're one of them." My glare intensifies and I abruptly open my door with a burst of strength.

It hits him and sends him to the floor, not too far from the car. I wanted to get my hands on him and show him what I did to his kind.

He scrambles to his feet with a snarl, his cool and collected facade forgotten.

I alight from the car, looking down at him with a sneer.

He dashes towards me with a speed that makes him seem like a blur. In less than a second, he's in front of me, claws and fangs out in fury.

"Too slow."

Before he could touch me, I move to the side and hold out my arm.

Not being able to slow down, he almost crashes into my car but I catch him by the stomach and fling him with more strength than before.

He flies backwards and crashes into an alleyway, breaking through the wall and onto the other side.
