Is this even a Quirk?!

Hey guys, I have an important question!

Would anybody be interested if I made a Patreon?

Wait, wait before you could stone me to death, here is the deal!

If there is enough interest then I stockpile like 5 chapters (without affecting the normal upload schedule) and release it on Patreon for only one Euro!

Although I won't say it's not for money but it will certainly help a lot to keep me motivated!

"Wow!"

Akiho watched in shock as his left hand went through his right hand made out of fire.

"I don't think there is a strong enough magic mushroom to do this!"

He got more and more sure that he wasn't hallucinating after noticing he could move his hand made out of fire just like a real hand.

"It is probably also a skill of my quirk but at this point, I am not even sure if it's a quirk or not. "

He wondered as he remembered that he should have gotten the blessing of Amaterasu or what when he was reincarnated. So maybe the fiery realm, the strange mantra, and now this was because of that.

"Although it's certainly overpowered that my arm can't be touched physically touched when it's made out of fire! But at the same time, it is somewhat useless after all I also can't touch anything...'"

Akiho analyzed and wrote it down in his notebook. When suddenly he felt lightheaded and a wave of exhaustion washed over him.

"Huff-huff it seems it requires... Huff, a lot of mental and physical energy! Huff"

While panting heavily he noticed his arms turned back to normal. But all his physical and mental energy was used up, and Akiho felt like there were no calories left in his body.

[A/n: Sorry if this part felt rushed or stale, I was a moron and accidentally deleted it had to rewrite it!]

*Grumble*

His stomach loudly demanded its salary!

Dragging himself to the big rock beside the pond in the middle of the clearing, he reached deep into a bigger crack in the rock.

He started to feel around with his fingers, and after some searching, he felt something metallic.

"I knew it was a good idea to hide some emergency food!"

He happily grabbed the metallic thing and pulled it out of the crack. With the bright light of the sun in the middle of the sky, it was easy to see the 'thing' was a futuristic-looking metal bento box.

Without waiting for anybody Akiho with the remaining energy left in him, increased the temperature of his hand holding the bento box. And it didn't even take a minute for the whole box to heat up.

Satisfied with his handy work, Akiho lowered the temperature of his hand back to normal. He happily flopped into the soft grass and slowly opened the steaming hot bento box.

[A/n: I wanted to try out the AI, so I asked it to write this short scene but I think it didn't understand the word 'short'...]

As soon as Akiho opened his it, the aroma of grilled salmon and steamed rice wafted up to his nose. He couldn't help but smile as he gazed down at the neatly arranged food inside.

The grilled salmon was perfectly cooked, with a golden-brown sear on the outside and tender, flaky flesh on the inside. The teriyaki glaze added a hint of sweetness that balanced out the savory flavors of the fish.

Next to the salmon was a mound of fluffy white rice, glistening slightly with a sprinkle of furikake on top. It looked so soft and inviting that Akiho couldn't wait to take a bite.

In another compartment of the bento box, he saw the familiar yellow and white stripes of tamagoyaki, the sweet egg omelet that he loved. The slices were arranged in a fan shape, and Akiho couldn't resist picking up one of the pieces with his chopsticks to pop into his mouth. It was warm and slightly sweet, with a hint of soy sauce and dashi in the background.

He then reached for a pickled cucumber and took a crunchy bite, savoring the tangy, slightly sour flavor that complemented the other items in the box.

Finally, Akiho scooped up a handful of edamame pods and began popping them open, savoring the saltiness of the beans inside.

[A/n: If you started to droll and feel dread for your favorite authors, I have good news for you, Ai sucks at writing! Or at least for now, writing the whole book is not possible but as you could see, it is a helpful tool, as for later who knows...]

"Aggh"

Finally, with his calories replenished, with a satisfied groan, Akiho tilted back to the ground under the heavy load of his full, rounded belly.

"It would be cool if moments like this could last forever!"

Lying on his back surrounded by the vibrant life, Akiho enjoyed the weak breezes caressing him.

His stomach started to slowly suggest all the delicious food in his stomach as his eyelashes got heavier and heavier.

First Akiho still wanted to fight back against the sweet-calling words of Morpheus but in the end, he gave up and accepted the invitation to the adventure in the world of dreams.

By the time Akiho woke up from the nap, it was already late afternoon.

"Fuck, mum must be worried to death by now!"

Quickly gathering his things he started to run back toward the mansion, still amazed by his speed and reaction time.

"Mum!"

Akiho soon arrived at the mansion where he noticed his mother and his two older siblings Fuyumi and Natsuo, looking around with worried faces.

Hearing the distant shout Fuyumi looked up and after noticing the running Akiho, she shot out like a rocket. She froze the path in front of her and used it for skating forward.

It didn't even take a second for the two to arrive in front of each other where the both of them stopped.

"Sorry, mum I slept in, and I..."

Akiho, like the impostor, caught standing on a body, tried meekly to explain himself. As his mother towered over him casting a dark shadow on him.

But before he could finish his sentence, suddenly his mother bent down, hugged him tightly, and started lowly sobbing.

[A/n: not gonna write sobbing, it's just cringe for me.]

Akiho was frozen for a moment then could only tightly hug his mother back.

Not much later his older siblings joined in the hug as well and it became something like a half-family hug...

It took more than 5 minutes for the hug to end and just as Akiho thought he escaped, his mother started scolding him for disappearing and not even appearing for lunch.

Akiho has to say, that day he probably got the biggest scolding of both of his life.

After finally, his mother calmed down a little, they started to chat about Akiho's experiments with his quirk. With keeping some parts like the fiery realm secret for himself he told them everything about his quirk.

"Hmm interesting, you can turn your body part into fiery..."

Rei's eyes shined as he looked at her son whose right hand was now made out of fire.

"Yeah, but it takes a lot of energy...!"

A few drops of sweat rolled down on Akiho's forehead after deactivating his quirk.

At first, he wasn't sure if he should hide his power or not, like in those Chinese novels with young masters and face slapping.

But then he remembered there is no use in hiding his strength after all if you are always hiding it what's the point of having it... Not to mention Akiho won't be so arrogant to think he knows how to train his quirk better than professional quirk trainers or pro heroes who are using their quirks for a lifetime!

In the end, there are more pros than cons and Akiho doesn't like lying in the first place!

"Wow, nii-chan that's so cute!"

The ever-energetic Fuyumi cheered on the side while Natsuo just silently nodded with approval on the side.

Rei gave Akiho a few suggestions, but she had the opposite element to his so both of them agreed on Akiho taking lessons on his quirk from the family's private quirk teacher.

In the end, it already started to darken outside when finally Toya and Shoto arrived as well.

Luckily this time they weren't as exhausted and beaten as yesterday, so after a quick shower the both of them joined the dinner. Which arguably made the mood a hundred times better.

It was already dark when the exhausted but well-fed Akiho and Shoto lay in their beds in their room.

Remembering his hectic day but fun day, Akiho hid deep under his blanket and fell asleep with a happy smile on his face.

A woman holding a little boy's hand walked through a long corridor decorated with childish paintings.

"Are you ready?"

Stopping in front of one of the numerous doors, the woman asked turning towards the red-haired boy.

And without waiting for his answer she pushed open the door and walked into the room dragging the boy with her.

They arrived in an airy, bright room with big windows granting an excellent view of the beautiful park outside.

But, more important was that there were kids everywhere. Some were playing with toys, talking, or just doing something four years old kids do...

The woman not caring about the chaotic noise inside walked into the middle of the room still dragging the boy with herself.

"Khm!"

She cleared her throat but after noticing that still, not everybody is looking at her she loudly clapped once.

After noticing that finally, everybody's attention was on her she had a little satisfied smile.

"Khm, good morning everyone!"

She cleared her throat one more time and said with a slightly raised voice.

"Good morning, Yui-sensei!"

All the kids said at the same time which broadened the smile on the woman's face a little.

"Let me introduce to you, your new playmate! Todoroki Akiho"

She said and pointed at the boy standing beside her. Which caused the kids to start to whisper to each other.

Looking at the snotty kids (one literally had snot running out of his nose) with whom he had to spend a big part of his time, Akiho just wanted to cry!
