Over for him

Chris missed home as he looked all around him. Here, he felt like he was all alone, even though he was currently sitting with other familiar people, and there was also Rachel.

But none of this was his. He was a stranger here. This wasn't his life. This wasn't the life he was used to.

Sadly, he didn't even know the kind of life he was craving for himself. He always felt like something was missing no matter how happy he was.

As his eyes dragged around the room– seeing people excitedly chatting, drinking, and lovers curled up in their spots being all lovey-dovey— he felt a tug in his heart.

Was he ever going to have this? This happiness that all these people shared when they didn't even have much like he had?

"Hey!" Rachel shook his arm, getting his attention. That was when he noticed all the eyes on the table were on him.

"Are you okay? You don't look too good tonight." Henry said to him with concern.

"Yeah. I'm fine. Just thinking about... homework." He lied and tried to shake off the unpleasant feeling.

"Pfft! What a nerd." Noel said, laughing lightly, then he threw a hand across Collins's shoulder as he said to Collins, "You've finally found someone you can relate to with all your nerdy stuff."

Collins simply forced out a smile before he awkwardly drank from his glass.

"Hey..." Chris called out to Collins, startling him and causing him to almost choke on his drink as he looked at Chris in surprise.

"Be comfortable around me. That first night shouldn't count. I'm cool with everyone. Hmm?" Chris told him, hoping the boy would be less jumpy around him.

Collins nodded awkwardly while Henry, who was sitting on the other side beside him, slapped his arm as he said, "I told you Chris is cool."

"I get it," Collins said before pushing Noel's hand away from his shoulder.

Seeing as he had cleared that out, Chris looked at Rachel and noticed she was still giving him the concerned look, but he brushed it off with a smile.

"I was asking you earlier... what do you think Sato is going to do tonight? They think he would be cross-dressing instead." Rachel asked Chris.

"Aren't you guys his closest buddies? You should know for sure what he is planning to do." Chris said to the guys.

He was curious.

"The idiot refused to have any of us around him there. We don't even know what he is planning with Rain back there." Noel said.

"I'd be damned if he decides to go full-on drag!" Henry said excitedly.

"What if he decides to strip?" Rachel asked; she sounded a little more excited than she cared to show.

"He won't do that," Collins said and quietly returned his attention to his glass of beer.

"Why don't you think he might strip instead? It's easier, and I mean... he is hot sooo—" Rachel blushed a little and picked up her glass, looking down at the drink instead.

"Do you like him?" Noel asked Rachel, bringing silence to the table as all eyes turned to her.

Rachel looked up at once and let out an embarrassed laugh. Meanwhile, the three other guys were still waiting for her answer.

"Should we make a bet?" Chris said, cutting into the tension. "On what Sky would be doing tonight. I'm guessing he might strip. He acts too arrogant to agree to crossdress."

"Sure! I'm in on the bet. He definitely won't be stripping!" Henry said excitedly.

But they didn't have the time to work on that because Rain showed up on stage. And her mere presence sent the entire house cheering happily.

Whether it was because of her and how stunning she looked as usual or because they knew it was TIME, Chris didn't know. But he had to admit, she was stunning, and his heart skipped a beat when he saw her. She was wearing a mini leather body-con dress with a scoop neckline and white high boots. Her hair fell to her shoulders and she wore light a makeup with no jewelry.

Her eyes found Chris. And when they locked eyes, she smiled at him. Her name was perfect for her.

She was a Raining beauty.

He couldn't help it. He smiled back at her.

Was she the one for him?

"Ladies and gentlemen... I hope your tables are filled with drinks; otherwise, I would have no allowance to keep myself looking pretty." Rain said into the mic in such a light and adorable tone that it made Chris want to empty his entire wallet on all the drinks in the pub. That was if he had enough money on him, which he, unfortunately, didn't. However, some others seemed to have fallen under her spell and were happily placing more orders.

"This is the moment you have all been waiting for. The moment to know what Sky Sato has chosen to entertain us with tonight. Is he going to be stripping for you perverted souls... or is he going to show us that HE can be hotter than girls too when he decides to be?"

The crowd went wild. Some were chanting 'SATO STRIP' while others chanted 'SKY CROSSDRESS'.

Chris's friends were busy hooting and cheering. For Chris, however, his heart was beating so fast. He had totally forgotten about his sudden crush and was fixing his eyes on the stage, waiting to see whatever the idiot had decided to do.

"HERE!"

"WE!"

"GO!!!!"

Rain exclaimed and stepped off the stage just as the lights dimmed and wild music burst through the speakers.

Sky finally appeared.

For those who weren't shouting their lungs out, they were probably still in shock, just like Chris, who was staring at the stage without blinking.

If Chris's heart had skipped a beat when he saw Rain, his heartbeat stopped completely for a full minute when Sky showed up.

It was UNBELIEVABLE!

Sky was wearing a long button-down corporate white shirt that covered only half of his thigh and the entire button done up to the neck, and underneath the shirt was a black short that revealed itself whenever he moved.

That wasn't just it.

His hair was in a ponytail, and his edges had been prettily laid out with wax to keep them in place.

He wore a smoky make-up that brought in a lot of focus on his eye shadow, liner, and lipstick. The rest of the makeup was his perfect tone.

He looked entirely different and almost unrecognisable!

His usual ear stud had been replaced with a silver teardrop earring while his usual nose stud and several rings on his fingers were still in place. On his feet were a pair of fur ankle boots with low heels.

He had managed to not actually give them a more girly look like they were expecting but this look was more than enough for them.

Almost everyone in there went crazy. It was so intense that people started throwing money at him on stage.

Sky owned it.

At first, he seemed stiff and uncomfortable, but after walking to the end of the stage once and turning back, he seemed to have garnered more confidence, especially with the support he was getting from the customers and the money Rain had quickly mobilized some waiters to gather.

Sky began to make different 'feminine' model poses with his hands on his waist which he even found amusing because he laughed at some point and blew kisses at the crowd.

His movements began to flow with the rhythm of the song, and he really got into it; he threw flirty looks at the crowd, even biting his lip and slowly reaching for his hair with a hand.

And then he did it.

He yanked the hairband off, letting his blond hair fall all over his face, and then he lazily brushed some out of his face to the back.

Chris just kept staring.

Even if there were a tornado, earthquake, and flood with some aliens trying to destroy the world right now with fire and missiles, he would never pull his eyes away.

Never.

"I... think I'm in love with my best friend." Henry breathed out in awe with his eyes also fixed on him.

Rachel was blushing so hard and had a hand covering her mouth.

For Chris... he just knew that it was over for him.

Well, so many people were going to be fighting for him soon.
