ANXIETY

Thankfully the gifting ceremony was finally over.

The twins had enough jewelry and tons of other strange gifts. One of the people even brought herds of cattle for them. Like the hell do they need a freaking cattle for?

I couldn't turn the gifts away so I just forced a smile on my face and gave them an appreciation. Ivan on the other hand didn't bother to hide his disgust on most of the gifts presented. He wasn't the only one though, the rest of my friends did too. Tag'arkh had even threatened to burn down a man who had brought slaves for the twins. Of course, that gift wasn't accepted and Ivan had sent Kiran to follow the man and ensured the slaves were free.

When it was done, I leaned back against my throne and released a wary sigh. Ivan reached for my hand and grabbed it, rubbing little circles around my knuckles to try and ease the tension. I turned to look at him with a weary smile.

"Tired?" He asked with a smile.
