"You must understand his position, Lady Felissa. Your mate acknowledges you but doesn't convey that you are his mate. Why? Because he wants to protect you," Vicenzo answered. He sighed deeply and lowered his gaze for a few seconds.
"Protect me? That sounds selfish instead!" Felissa argued. She wanted to hear a similar answer from Silvio, but the negativity from Vicenzo hurt her feelings.
Vicenzo bit his lips. He wanted to say some more but decided to drop it.
"Don't do that, Sir Vicenzo. You must speak what's on your mind. That's an order," Rosina stated softly with a wide grin. She leaned forward and placed her hand on her chin.
"I want to hear more, Sir Vicenzo," Felissa said sternly before sitting back in her chair.
