Meeting Scarlett's Father (Part-2)

The elevator opened and Ezra got out but halted on his way. Seeing a man wearing a cap sweeping the floor seemed too odd to him. 

Didn't the guard on watch downstairs tell him that no one else has arrived? 

Then, who is it? 

His inner alert voice was activating warning him to get away but he ignored it. 

Ezra frowned at that man's back but didn't disturb him while working. He tried to walk past the man when suddenly the man slid the wet mop in front of his steps.

"What are you doing?" Ezra shouted at the man. "I could have tripped over for your mistake."

The man didn't reply nor did he raise his head above to look at him. "Ezra Knight, huh?"

Ezra backs off, and slowly slowly steps back from the suspicious man, he didn't like the tone that the man just addressed him with. "Who are you?" He asked him directly, without beating around the bush as he understood this man in front of him is not just a sweeper.
