Édouard stepped into the carriage and headed to the palace. He went to the kingdom's archives center in the palace and looked for the records from twenty-four years ago.
"His Royal Highness can tell me what he is searching for," the chief of the archive center, Odel, said humbly. He noticed the Prince was looking at the old archives, which confused him.
Édouard realized that he should not search for anything in front of Odel since he might inform his father about it, which could create problems for him. Édouard turned to look at Odel and said, "I am in the wrong section. I wanted to check the tax-related documents from two years ago."
"Indeed, the Prince has come to the wrong section. His Royal Highness can tell me what documents he needs and I will search for them. I will send them to the Prince's office," Odel opined.
"That is a good idea," Édouard agreed with his suggestions and told Odel about the needed tax documents.
