Chapter 99: Savior

He saw his Young Miss raising her hand and was about to hit Gu Jin.

"Nooooo!" The head butler closed his eyes.

However the expected 'bang' sound didn't come and when he opened his eyes, he saw Gu Jin holding his Young Miss's hand and whispering something in his Young Miss's ears.

God knows what she said because the next moment Young Miss stopped shouting and her dazed expression slowly cleared up.

The head butler watched in disbelief as Gu Jin's calm demeanor seemed to calm the girl, even if just slightly. He had never seen anyone handle their young miss with such care and tenderness.

"Miss, please," the head butler pleaded, his voice tinged with concern. "Young Miss is not in her right state of mind. It's not safe for you to be so close to her."

However, Gu Jin didn't pay any attention to him.

His Young Miss muttered something before closing her eyes and falling back on the bed.
