Leisure

As she realized that, Xu Yue instinctively couldn't help but become more cautious than before, but before doing anything else, she turned to the issue at hand.

And after thinking for a while, Xu Yue did not do anything, she merely took a look at Yuan Jianjun's cultivation system before returning to the conversation she had with Meng Lin.

"So how did you come all the way here from the painting region?" asked Xu Yue as she took a small sip of tea.

"After grandfather's lifespan ended, I began wondering the Painting Region before encountering some sort of teleportation mechanism but once I got to this side, I couldn't find it any longer, that's how I ended up here," said Meng Lin as a smile plastered her face.

"That's quite sad, If you need any help, I can take you there," said Xu Yue as she internally smiled at Meng Lin's interesting choice of words, even though she did not feel her lying, Xu Yue already knew what was up.

After this, Xu Yue took another look at Meng Lin before sighing and getting up.

"I have to go, but if you want to find me, you can come to the sword region," said Xu Yue as she walked out of the house alongside Ming Yun.

"Senior sister, where should we go?" asked Ming Yun as she stepped onto the flying ship.

"Where we were planning to go," said Xu Yue as she sat down crosslegged, causing a little fox to jump into her lap.

"Understood," said Ming Yun before beginning to power the flying ship, even though she did not know why Xu Yue used that excuse to stop talking with Meng Lin, she did not question things too much.

After only a few moments, the astonishingly fast-flying ship once again began it's journey.

...

Ten minutes later,

After ten minutes passed since Xu Yue left using the flying ship, Yuan Jianjun could finally breathe a sigh of relief, a semi-solid grey barrier then appeared around the two.

"That was unnerving, she felt way too powerful," mumbled Yuan Jianjun as he wiped some beads of sweat from his forehead.

"Why worry so much, Senior Xu Yue was kind to me in the past, it wasn't as if she would do something to you without any motive, and although less effective against humans, beings that can break the effect of the mask are really rare," said Meng Lin as she looked at her Dao Companion disdainfully.

"Just a feeling," mumbled Yuan Jianjun, but this seemed to have made Meng Lin even madder.

"Back when I was in your world, I didn't worry even when I was in front of extremely powerful beings, you should sort this out, otherwise you might get found out," said Meng Lin, not scared that anyone could spy on them under the protection of the mask.

"Fine, I was just taken by surprise," said Yuan Jianjun before beginning to coax Meng Lin, so she was not mad anymore.

...

Looking at the 'ancient' thousand-year-old trees flashing below the ship, Xu Yue couldn't help but take a deep breath and pet the little fox in her lap.

Suddenly, Xu Yue took a silvery apple from her storage bag and held it in front of the little fox.

Seeing the apple appear before her, the fox sunk it's teeth into it, taking a big bite of apple.

Although foxes did not like fruits very much, preferring berries and meat, facing a ripe spiritual fruit, the little fox instinctively couldn't resist.

And merely a few moments later, the entire spiritual fruit was swallowed by the fox with great vigor, so much so that it seemed to desire more.

A bunch of crystal-like grapes then appeared in Xu Yue's hand as she began feeding the fox with all sorts of special treasures and specially created delicacies.

"Are you really so gluttonous?" mumbled Xu Yue as she picked up the fox into her hand and raised it to eye level before staring at it's now bulging stomach.

After only a moment o doing that, the fox in Xu Yue's arms began struggling, trying to get out of her grasp, but sadly for it, Xu Yue's hands seemed like an unescapable net, not allowing it to move at all.

Suddenly, Xu Yue stopped applying force in her hands, and as such, the little fox's efforts caused it to fall down to the floor, and after that happened, a slightly resentful look appeared in the fox's eyes, causing it's two fluffy ears to droop down.

Seeing this, Xu Yue once again picked up the little fox, but this time, Xu Yue held her much closer to her body.

"Grow up well so you can accompany me for a long time little girl" mumbled Xu Yue as she scratched the back of the little fox's ear, she herself becoming slightly sad.

Suddenly, as if waiting for this, the fox lunged toward it's rightful place, inside Xu Yue's robe, but of course, even though Xu Yue was not paying attention, she still unconsciously caught the little fox in the air, as it jumped towards an opening in her robe.

"I heard that I shouldn't trust vixens, but even you want to take advantage of me little fox," said Xu Yue as she looked at the fox caught in her hands with a smile on her face.

As Ming Yun walked in, the first thing she saw was Xu Yue holding the little fox in her arms and smiling at it.

Looking at that scene, Ming Yun almost fell down from shock.

"Senior sister, should we go in the painting region for a while or directly go inwards," asked Ming Yun as she and her senior sister had already been there.

"Go inwards, since I have already been there, there is no point in going to the same place once again," said Xu Yue as she played with the little fox in her arms.

Suddenly, Xu Yue decided on doing something else.

"Skip this layer, go deeper into the Three Thousand Regions, otherwise I would really be bored to death."

"Understood," said Ming Yun before exiting the room, feeling as if she had been replaced by a fox.
