I held her in my arms all night, and I didn't want to let her go. Madison was here to stay, and she should realize I was serious about us being together.
Andrea was the perfect nanny, making sure the kids were well-fed and entertained while I did the same thing with Madison.
"Morning, sleepyhead," I said as I pulled the covers from over her head.
" Ugh, I should have gone to work," she groaned as her eyes flashed on the antique clock that hung on the wall.
I was disappointed it was the first thing she thought about after such a magical night. Well, it was magical from my point of view.
I started to get out of bed, but she grabbed my hand to stop me. "I was kidding."
Damn, I was such a wuss for thinking she was serious about not enjoying her time with me. Brushing off my insecurity, I quipped, "I knew you were after the way you were screaming the house down. Shoot, I thought the windows were going to shatter!"
