It was 11:00 PM in the night when George's black car parked. He dragged his feet while he walked the stairs that led to the front door.
The day that was full of victories was full of disappointments too. George has been planning long for this day. He had laid the foundation more than a month ago for it. Everything went exactly the way he had planned for it to go except for that call that Cynthia heard. He brought back Henry's shares and placed them under her name adding authority to her already authoritative position in the company her family built. But what was the point of avenging his wife if she was miserable about the results?
'That wasn't all that she became miserable about,' George thought.
"Good evening, sir," The butler greeted when he went through the door.
"Good evening Steven, how's Cynthia?" he asked immediately, too anxious to hear anything about the wife he wasn't able to reach all day long.
