Chapter 139: Three Way Deadlock

Kabuto reacted almost instantly as he attempted to stab Tsunade with the scalpel in his hand, though he was blocked by a Shizune who seemed to be proud of her master for standing up for what was right.

Tsunade and Orochimaru flew at each other as they smashed into each other at full force, both of them intent on finishing off the other.

"I did not expect for you to decide against my proposal. Perhaps you don't quite care about those you have lost anymore." Orochimaru said as he slithered around Tsunade's blows to avoid any major damage.

"I will never forget those who I have lost Orochimaru, but I refuse to allow grief and loss dictate my life anymore." Tsunade said as the mark began to emit black lines that grew around her body, activating her variation of the Strength of A Hundred Healings Seal.

She then delivered a powerful kick that missed, though the immense force behind it created delivered a powerful shockwave that made the surrounding gravel fly into the air like an explosion.

"Come on Pervy-Sage, you gotta have more things you can teach me!!" Naruto said as he trailed behind Jiraiya.

"I'll teach you more once we find Tsunade." Jiraiya said with mild irritation, wondering why Naruto couldn't be more like his father in behavior. And for some reason, the woman with blonde hair continued to flash in his head.

"Tch. Your just gonna go do more of your 'research'." Naruto said while getting angry.

"I guarantee you that I'll teach you more once we make it to the tow-" Jiraiya's words stopped as he saw an explosion in the distance, as well as him beginning to feel a massive amount of chakra that felt like Tsunade's.

"Stay here kid, I'll be back soon." Jiraiya said before he took off at immense speeds, not bothering to hear Naruto's retort as he lost all semblance of playfulness on his face and showed the aura of a man who had fought through wars.

He just hoped Tsunade could hold on till he made it.

Orochimaru began growing frustrated in the battle, as he realized he had quite miscalculated the entire situation.

One, Tsunade didn't even consider his proposal and chose to attack him off the back. He had expected that she no longer had any ties to the Village that would make her care about it, but even if she cared, he did not think she would choose to fight for the Village over her loved ones.

Two, Tsunade was no longer affected by her hemophobia, making the moment he thought showing her blood and her freezing up would give him an opening, though it really only let her get a surprise attack off of him that nearly let her punch a hole through him.

So to say that he was quite frustrated would be the understatement of the year, one that made him immensely feel that he would not be able to overcome Tsunade shortly.

However, as if the universe felt him complaining and saying that things couldn't get much worse, he was suddenly blasted by a blue orb of rotating chakra.

He could already guess who the wielder of the attack was, making him scowl even harder.

"Jiraiya." Orochimaru spat out with immense venom as he got back to his feet.

"It's good to see you're still in good health, Orochimaru." Jiraiya said playfully while looking at his arms, all while the Toad Sannin stood side by side with the Slug Sannin.

Orochimaru realized the dire straights he may be in, deciding to summon Manda as Kabuto joined him atop the purple serpent.

Tsunade and Jiraiya summoned equally sized beings of Gamabunta and Katsuyu to even the odds, once again showcasing the Three Way Deadlock.

The battle then once again continued as they fought for quite some time, with Jiraiya wondering if he needed to enter his Sage Mode so that he may finally finish off the threat of Orochimaru.

"Orochimaru, we can't allow you to continue your evils. Either come peacefully or I can no longer guarantee your life." Jiraiya said, hoping that he wouldn't have to finish his friend, even after all that had happened.

"Pathetic. This is exactly why I will destroy that Village. To prevent fools like you from continuing to come out of that Village filled with plots and hypocrisy." Orochimaru said as he refused Jiraiya's offer.

Jiraiya was about to summon Ma and Pa, however, a blur of orange that appeared in the distance and seemed to be complaining loudly made everyone turn their attention to him.

Recognition came in Tsuna's eyes as she saw the protagonist of the world approach as she watched from the sidelines.

"Did you have to leave me Pervy-Sage!" The boy yelled in anger at Jiraiya.

Orochimaru, realizing he could have a chance at having a hostage, signaled to Manda to attack the boy.

Jiraiya realized their plan once Orochimaru had already set out to devour the kid.

Naruto froze as the massive serpent slithered at him at supersonic speeds.

Manda was fully ready to devour the kid, with him viewing this as Orochimaru's sacrifice for disturbing his rest by summoning him.

However, Manda was stopped in his place as massive roots came from the ground and ensnared him as someone began to calmly walk towards Orochimaru.

Smoke covered the person as their voice was heard through it.

"I don't think there's a need for me to conceal myself now, it wouldn't do much to hinder me if I devoted that much time to changing my appearance. Either way, I can't allow you to kill an innocent kid."

A blonde-haired woman wearing a white doctor's coat atop a kimono emerged from the smoke stunning Jiraiya, Naruto, Orochimaru, and Kabuto.

"So I think it's about time I put an end to this farce." Tsuna said as her hands began to emit white flames while she gained a ferocious grin across her face.
