The first phase was the easiest

'You've been extremely quiet, Nova.' Luca petted Nova on her lap, sitting in the backseat with Maddison in the front passenger seat while Maoi was driving the car. 

It had been a week since the day of Frank's interment. Luca let it pass while she prepared for the things she had to settle. Aside from her continuing affair with Xander whilst refusing to meet him by making up excuses and studying her plans, Luca wanted to spare Jacques some time. Her manager was still grieving, so she was giving Jacques some time whilst making sure she was safe.

"What do you want me to do, huh?" Nova rolled her eyes. "Why did you even take me? Weren't you ignoring me all this time? Now you want to make amends?"

Luca let out a deep exhale. What Nova said was true as she didn't have much time for Nova compared to before.
