Arrogance and Hatred

"Of course. Saving you is more dangerous than fighting against those monsters," explained Ichihara; I don't know the difference between me and the monsters.

"You seem to be the type of person who is more concerned with asking for something in return than doing good things," I said, my heart feeling quite irritated that this group didn't do this rescue solely to protect me.

That's enough! I've had enough of all the humiliation they've shown me. I thought they were good because they saved me, but I was wrong. They were even worse than The Union, who were after me.

"Then allow me to leave. If you didn't need me, then I wouldn't set my foot in a dirty place like this!" I said rudely.

My body immediately turned around and walked briskly following the hall floor towards the door measuring two meters in front of me. It felt so quiet in this place; only my footsteps could be heard stomping and echoing throughout the room.

"I've never received a refusal before," Ichihara said, speaking to me in a flat tone.

"Then you've got your first refusal today, and that's from me."

"Lord Keisuke, what does the person who refuses my wish get?" Ichihara sounded like asking someone, a man by the name of Keisuke. Maybe it was one of the men in the line.

"We imprisoned them by tying up their hands and feet with iron chains."

My steps stopped; the voice said by the man was quite heavy and convincing. I had been saved by the wrong group if what he said was true.

I turned my body and looked firmly at the female group leader. No one can imprison me because I refused their irrational request.

"Did you hear? I don't want a Paladin like you to be locked up in a dark prison, spending the rest of life regretting the mistakes he made," said Ichihara, smiling as she walked past the line of people standing tall.

"Why did you do this? Aren't you Adamas who have the goal of healing your brain?!" I groaned, completely angry with their decision.

"You don't know? Our brains are actually healed," explained Ichihara, words I didn't really understand.

"How did you know?" I asked, curious.

"It's a secret. I'm not going to tell you."

"Warrior!"

Suddenly all the soldiers guarding the hall moved evenly. They were wearing Izunaya combat clothes with their right hands holding long spears. Then, I saw that they all started to walk away from their posts according to Ichihara's orders.

"Arrest that person!" Ichihara said, pointing at me with wide eyes.

They shouted! Many men started pointing their spears at me, running so fast that the loud footsteps could be heard filling the room.

The door behind me was tightly shut; it seemed like the man behind the door was holding it from opening. Damn you, Zhao Kun! You framed me to meet this one demon.

I don't have any other choice. I pressed the circle button on my wand and transformed it into a perfect spear shape. The soldiers' weapons in this space are the same as mine, but the spear shafts are wood and not comparable to the weapons I wield.

"Spinning Dragon!"

My hands began to loosen the spear's grip to match my body's rotation. Skill two was active and displayed a bright red glow with dazzling sparks.

Thanks to the rotation and strength of the spear blade, I managed to injure several people who approached. Most of them were wounded in the chest and arms. As a result, causing blood to splatter on the hall floor.

If I look closely, their abilities are no better than Eve's. In the sense that they are not using the skills of the spear wielder Adamas or adventurers, are they mercenaries?

Five people fell and immediately retreated their steps, the remaining ten people who surrounded me from all sides.

"I still have the power to destroy the toy guns you guys hold!" threatened me.

The words I spoke seemed to have an effect on their minds. Several soldiers looked doubtful while glancing to their right and left as if trying to determine if their comrades had experienced the same thing.

"All right. Nobody wants to give up."

"Reinforce Element!"

My spear instantly glowed red. The grip on my hand felt so comfortable and light like I was holding a thin wooden stick.

Full of emotion, I started slashing at them with the swing of my spear. The moves that Eve teaches are really useful, from the standing stance, to how to attack or defend.

Legs, chest, hands, and even face are unavoidable from my attack, which seems brutal. They couldn't counter this attack because of my increased speed and agility due to the usage of my one skill.

They must have seen me dancing in the middle of this skirmish. It's okay. Let Ichihara's arrogance be defeated by my spear's ability.

Defeat! That's what this group got when it came to arrest me.

"There are no spear-wielding Adamas other than Paladins; you should know what weapon to use when confronted with me," I accused the several soldiers sprawled out from the wounds I gave them.

"Kill me!" snapped one soldier; I ignored his wishes.

Ichihara seemed to be smiling broadly while clapping her hands, whether she admired me or was really angry behind her smile. What's certain is that the members standing on Ichihara's right and left looked displeased with my abilities.

"No wonder the Templars want your heads so badly," Ichihara said.

"Amazing ability, as well as terrifying. Is this the true protector of Camelot?" Ichihara asked.

I saw the woman walking toward me. I noticed her right hand began to pull out her sword on her left waist. I have to be careful. Usually, a group leader is someone who has great abilities.

"What if I test you just a little? If you win, you can go and live freely. However, if I win. I will exchange you for gold to the Templars," explained Ichihara, grinning while raising one eyebrow.

I was on the distressed side, unable to refuse or ask for ease. What I needed to do was to balance Ichihara's strength and exhaust him. I realized that my current abilities couldn't match those of Ichihara.

"Our battle will use an hourglass. If time runs out, then you win," Ichihara said, pointing at an antique in the real world but not here.

An hourglass that had not been turned over, the thing that would save my life from death. I just need to protect myself from it until the sand at the top of the hourglass runs out.

"How?" Ichihara asked. I firmly gripped my spear while nodding my head.

"All right. I'm starting!"

Ichihara, the leader of The Eastern Warrior, tries to beat Arthur who has overthrown her best warrior. Can she do it?
